The modem [Huawei MT130U] I have does Gb ethernet. Again, the cables are fine, it was something obviously related to Windows -- I have no idea what -- that was causing it to only connect to the network at 100Mbps, all the drivers are up-to-date. But it's working now, I am using the VisionTek...

I've already tried that for the onboard NIC, I lose all connection to the modem, and even though it's still plugged in, it thinks there is nothing plugged in until I change it back to auto. I haven't tried it on the Killer NIC yet, but I suspect the same thing will happen. EDIT: Just unplugged...

1Gb Ethernet was working for my Rampage II Extreme to my router and modem, but it refuses to work for the R3BE -- even when it's connected directly to the modem -- it's stuck at 100Mbps...I even tried a VisionTek Killer NIC 2100 and the same thing, stuck at 100Mbps. Anyone who had the R3BE have...

They should all be compatible with 8.1 by now, although I could be wrong. I do know that StartIsBack & Start8 are.

For $3 you could've gotten a 2 PC license for StartIsBack, and for $5 a 5 PC license. So, for 2 it would've worked out to $1.50 per license, while for 5 it comes to $1.00 per license.

Help: Installing A Modded (Unlocked?) BIOS

I am looking to install the Insyde 1.12 Unlocked BIOS for my Acer Aspire V3-771G, I currently have the stock version of the Insyde 1.12 BIOS installed, so I am unsure if I can actually install what amounts to the same BIOS, although unlocked, over it. The stock BIOS can be installed directly...

No, you cannot install both at once. StartIsBack actually uses the remenants of the Start Menu code, etc. that was left over from Windows 7, so using StartIsBack you basically get what amounts to a native Start Menu.

Kingston HyperX RAM: Regular or PnP?

So, I am looking at getting two 8GB (2x4) kits of HyperX DDR3-1600 SODIMM for my laptop, as it can take up to 32GB of RAM, but since the laptop has Win7 Home Premium on it, I can currently only get 16GB. Now Kingston has the kit that I am looking at getting, but it appears they've got two...
