Can DVD+RW write to DVD+R media? Im looking at getting that Phillips DVDRW208 but i wanna be able to write dvd+r. thanx!

Overclocking a P4 2.0AGHz (400mhz fsb) in a Shuttle SS51G?

depends on how good your p2 2.0a is, mine which i got just recently runs fine at default voltage and 533 (2.666mhz), and its on a ecs p4s5a 645dx

Im fine with my 120 ata 100s. but my girlfrend definetly wants one of the larger ones stuffed in her box. my next upgrade will prolly be serial ata.

I just picked up two WD 120 jbs, they pretty quick. striping them on a tx2. 47 mb/s average compared to my 2 wd 30 bbs at 32 b/s

Trouble adding 2nd Hardrive with WinXP

Are both drives showing up during post? Do you have Plug and play OS selected in your bios? If so go ahead and set that secondary drive to NONE instead of AUTO. Now the drive shouldnt get detected at the bios level and it will boot into windows before it detects that second drive. Once widnwos...

SOYO KT-333 Platnium / Don't Waste Your $/time

Ill agree with the poster, the platinums are somewhat buggy out of the box. Ive built about 10 and none of them have been flawless installs, and even 1 doa. The regular dragon ive done prolly bout 30-40 no major problems and most install flawless.

Why is my WD 120JB running pio mode?

My main drive is the primary master on promise controller, thats what i boot of of. Anyways i did swap the othe drives to the prmary controller and now they run udma but now the cdrom are running pio. But it doesnt seem like it affects their performance much so i think i will leave it alone for now

Any way around macrovision copyprotect on dvds? i wanna watch at 1080i!

Im outputing to a 53 inch tv, and at 480 you can see lines. at 1080 it looks just like its being played on a computer monitor.

Heh, when i first got this card i rated it a 3 outtta ten cuz it sounded like shite with the drivers it comes with. Oncei updates it sounded awesome, and now i even found out how to play 5.1 without rebooting, now its a 10 outta 10, sounda awesome. Just a little fyi

75GXP just Died today ...

What brand makes the most quiet DVD drive?

Definatly Hitachi drives are the quietest. my 16x is consistantly quiet, and you can barly hear the spin-up.

ATI RADEON 8500, does it contribute to system instability?

Well, i have the ATI AIW 8500DV and that thing gets mad hot. I never had any problems with mine but i got a little worried when i touch the memory and it almost burns my hand after a few secs, same with the HSF and the TV tuner. Im guessing a majority of the heat iss coming of that TV tuner...

What do you people think of ECS quality/reliability compared to MSI? I sell probably 3 times as many ECS boards as MSI but i have way more MSI failure after 6 months than ECS.

i notice alotof flex on my ECS ps5a also......so anyone know if its bad/ hehehe....we all know it sux but will it affect stability... etc? I noticed on Soyo Dragons they got a nice steel X that is under the mainboard so it doesnt flex.
