I'll agree to both of the above. I've had the glossy version on my iphone for going on 2 years now. I forget it's actually on there, and it has never been close to coming off.

best office suite for mac?

Having used NeoOffice (OpenOffice port) for extensive academic use, I started to get frustrated with the way it handles some things. I switched to MS Office 08 and haven't looked back. I also needed Word compatibility, which of course it does well.

HTC style Lock screen for iPhones!

What sort of lag does this add to the iPhone? I found that SBsettings by itself introduced a very noticeable lag to my iPhone 3g, and I've read that winterboard makes it even worse. What has your experience been?

Does any philosophical theory permit absolute neutrality?

I would venture to say that such a philosophy would most probably be found in the East. In fact, what you describe sounds quite close to the Hindu concept of moksha, or perhaps even the Buddhist samsara. You probably won't find much in Western thought.

AT&T Caves - Opens up all iphone VOIP apps for use on 3g

I can say that lag on Skype over 3g is not an issue. I use it in Europe on my jailbroken phone quite frequently, and as long as I have a good 3g signal, I've never had a complaint about lag on voice calls with Skype.

VMware on a 1.83 GHz Macbook with 4 gigs of ram (3 gigs)

Anyone ever used this drive on a MB?

I installed that drive into my MBP this past summer and love it. Silent, battery life didn't noticeably change, and I've never felt heat from the top or bottom of the area near the drive. Plus, the speed boost over my 160gb 5200rpm was very noticeable.

External Drive

Just be aware that Apple seems to be making a move to let firewire (this generation, at least) die off. They've removed it from the new unibody Macbooks altogether. The new Macbook Pros, however, have 1 firewire 800 port included, I believe. It is something to consider.

Grab a copy of Quickpwn from the Dev-Team (not hard to find on google). The program has built-in instructions. After the jailbreak is over, run the new Cydia program on the phone. Search for Intelliscreen. Install. Be happy.

Car audio is so expensive!

I used to own an ID IDQ v.2 10" in a ported box tuned to 29hz. It was plenty loud for me (getting about around 300rms) and sounded amazing. It brought a smile to my face each day. I highly, highly recommend ID.

You can hack the 3g model. You can jailbreak it to allow other software not in the App store, but you can't unlock it yet to be used on other carriers besides AT&T.
