I've tried SP2 and SP3 as mentioned. Firefox isn't the problem it just causes it faster.
I've changed out all the components. The system is now sitting open with no case in a 65f room. It is not cooling related.... I think.
The PSU has not been tested. I have another sitting next to me to swap it out with though to verify it is not the PSU.
The components have all been "tested" by swapping them with replacements. None of it helping. As mentioned, I've also run the gambit of Prime...
Haven't yet but I'll see if I have one somewhere.
New note: I left the system running idle on the desktop (nothing other than system tray stuff running) and after 3 days it was all hung up as mentioned in the first post. Couldn't click any quick launch icons or anything on the desktop to...
I've now swapped the hard drive and still the same problem; meaning the only thing the same is the PSU. There's virtually no way the PSU is causing this. I'm completely lost. It is virtually a new PC.
Yes, totally different memory (from a DELL). I've looked at the voltages and they seem clean, no big changes under load either. The CPU runs less than 30c at load. Thanks.
As listed; I've also installed a completely bare XP SP2 and still had the same issues.
Yes, I've swapped out the RAM for other sticks; same problem.
I just finished swapping out the CPU for a Q6600, no dice. I can try the NIC but that *seems* terribly unlikely considering two...
That really doesn't fix the problem, there are other issues such as crashes I have noticed; FFX just seems to make other issues apparent. I don't believe it is directly related to FFX.
As stated; I've reinstalled windows about 8 times (fresh, format, install). Which would nuke any viri, but yes, I ran multiple scans as well.
Seatools found no problem with the drive, even with a long scan.
I will happily have any form of cookie desired delivered. :)
Alright folks, let's see if anyone else has some luck with this issue. I am at wit's end.

Anybody actually received anything from Citrus Micro? If so, how long did it take before they shipped? Thanks!
EDIT: Finally got someone on the phone. Helpful. Said it should ship today, latest tomorrow. Apparently their stock is low.
I ordered a notebook from this place on the 20th, it's still stuck in "processing". Are these folks reliable? Slow? I've called twice to get an ETA and got their answering machine. I also emailed with no response. [Citrus Micro]
Hey folks,
I figured this was GENERAL so.. It's in general.
Question is this:
Can I build one physical dual-core system and run 2 seperate clients off the system with their own independent environments?
The idea is, you could use VMware to run two instances of XP or Linux where each...
Yes, this card almost beats the 8800GTX. Take a look at the Anandtech review.
Additionally folks, please note that buy.com does not appear to have these in stock. They may not ship for days! I would hold out for a better retailer to have them in stock such as Newegg.
My communication with eBay thus far has not gone well. Nothing but circles via phone and email. Should I simply copy them in on a dispute letter to the collection agency?
Folks,
I know this is very off topic. I've been around here for a while and I know there's lots of Anandtechers out there who have experience in lots of areas, so I'm hoping someone can lend some advice. I am seeking advice so try to be open minded here...
Here's the scoop:
Over the...
Hey folks,
Testing on some new server hardware, created a PHP script to run this poll.
Check it out, vote on who you think will be winning the primaries for the Dems.

I've got 3 Socket 478 Biostar P4-m80-m4 motherboards (mATX, integrated video, audio, lan) that are brand new I'm selling for $38 on FS/T. Can PM if the eWiz deal is a no go for you! Thanks.
On topic: It's a good deal for an intel chipset 478 mobo which is getting harder and harder to find...
Glass Gate a tongue twister? It's alliteration!
Yes Glass Gate Media or something similar. The used name would be Glass Gate however. Much like DELL's full company name is DELL Computer, but referred to as DELL.
We don't have a logo since we're still working on the name ;) Thanks...
So, you know what they say about opinions...Everyone's got one. Fellow ATers, just want to hear some opinions on a company name. I am certain not everyone or even most folks will like either name, because thats how these things go. All the obvious names are taken, you're limited by domains...
Yep, price is really $141 +ship :o
Theres an *eWiz coupon for this *Spring though as well which takes $5 off.
Those big price cuts are supposed to be here soon though.
Hey guys,
I'm working on setting up a system with quad monitor output (4x DVI).
If I use an NVIDIA 650i mobo I get 2x PCI-E slots (for SLI)
Can I just plug in two 7300LEs with dual DVI outputs each and run 4 monitors or do I have to run in SLI with 2x cards that support SLI?
Also is...
Fantastic guys, appreciate the response! Got a formula to figure out the real capabilities.
My AC/DC conversions and what not are obviously a little out of date :)
EDIT: Yowch, Anandtech removed the link :)
Hey guys,

Good deal with a free ship coupon but I noticed the maximum amperage draw is listed as 15A.
Our PSU's of today draw more then that on a single +12v rail. I wanted to use this to test some configurations and find a...
