I ran it only once, which was right after I installed Windows 8 and fully updated it with all drivers, windows updates, mandatory apps, etc., and then made a clean backup image.

I had a feeling that that's what you were referring to. It lists the array as normal and each drive as being a member disk, but doesn't say whether or not if the array is being detected as a SSD.
Yep, but I'm trying to figure out what the Intel RAID ROM Utility is that Fernando made reference to. Is it a separate utility, in addition to the IRST application?

When I enter the IRST GUI, clicking on individual drives of the array lists each of them as Type: Solid-state drive. Is there anywhere in particular that I should go within the program?
For some reason, my system is recognizing my Transcend SSD's as HDD's. This has to be the reason why TRIM isn't working on that array.
This is the way they are detected when creating the array through the BIOS or IRST 11.7.0.1013. How can I force the system to detect the array correctly?
Are you using your original BIOS, modified to incorporate an untouched OROM v11.6.0.1702? If so, that won't enable TRIM. Your BIOS needs to be modified with the hex-modded version of OROM v11.6.0.1702 from here.

The SSD drives being used seems to be a factor on whether or not the TRIM commands will pass.
In my case, TRIM is working flawlessly with the array on my Patriot drives. On the same system, the array on my Transcend drives does not TRIM at all. I've invoked Windows Optimize, logged off/in...
Lots of people didn't have to re-create their array to get trim working.
Download the BIOS for your board from Garikfox's FTP.
Uninstall whichever RST you have now (reboot if needed).
Install RST v11.6.2.1002 WHQL
Reboot, enter your BIOS and set all to default. Save and reboot.
Flash...
