I am a moderate amd fanboy and a Nvidia hater but even I just recently bought a gigabyte g1 1080 + a g-sync display...

No they aren't, at least not economically speaking as free sync is well..... free.
Psychologically speaking, yes they are just as much as others are locked into believing anything else non tech related.
Now when Nvidia locks you in it does so on a economically tangible way.

Skylake X is a real obvious result to what AMD is doing in the market. We vote with our wallets and I know this is going to sound like me telling you what to do with your own money but if you choose Intel over amd in this particular case it would be a real slap in their face given what they have...
It's an nVidia title... works flawless for the most part if u get the game updates to fix the issues for amd and logitech periphials hardware
also Crysis 3 works perfectly on my 7870 but Crysis 2 does not... why? C2 is nvidia, C3 is amd optimized.
I kinda beat myself up for not buying a i5 3350P instead of my 3570k cuz that way the cpu would have been cheaper, would have been able to buy a cheaper MB and with the saved cash get a decent GPU instead of my HD5670 :(
OK, back with another question that might or might not make everything so far a bit irrelevant but here it goes:
I was saying a few posts back that I would also like to a add a HD 7850 to the system down the line but it turns out that due to budget restraints that might not be possible so it...
OR maybe something like this: http://www.pcgarage.ro/vizualizare-wishlist/604424/
with the Corsair 1600MHz ram and 90GB SSD?
You sure I can spare the 1866 for the 1600? will that drop performance in any way?
Yeah, actually the only reason I wanted to get and SSD was so that it would be easier to maintain the data from my current hdd without having to repartition or move stuff around too much as I will have to install the 64bit version of Win7 with this new build. (Obviously SSD brings many more...
ok, I think I managed to squeeze the build within budged although I had to let go a new case and psu along the way http://www.pcgarage.ro/vizualizare-wishlist/604380/
I think this one should work well and leave me room for OCing in the future.
And yes I do plan on using a discrete GPU
In this buid: http://www.pcgarage.ro/vizualizare-wishlist/604344/ I managed to add a Q77 board that can support CPU OC but at the expense of the new PSU witch means I'd have to use my 6 year old Gigabyte 450W PSU (will that be enough for the new system and possibly alow for a GPU upgrade in the...
Ok so I had time to think and decided I'm going to be heading towards the Intel platform for my next PC: http://www.pcgarage.ro/vizualizare-wishlist/604308/
However I still have some questions regarding this build witch keep in mind is at the absolute limit of my budget... :(
So you can see I...
I see the AS rock 970 extreme 3 has support for the new Piledriver cpus but only since bios ver 2.0, thing is I don't know what bios my MB will come with in case I go with the AMD... any chance the store could update the bios for me or something? :\
And I see the i5 MB should support the cpu as...
I would apreciate some more detailed answers that just "i5 3570k No contest here.. "
What are the downsides of using sucha cheapo MB with the i5? also I want to add that I never plan to use sli or xfire on any of the platforms and I also guess OC-ing on the Intel platform with such a weak MB...
in general for gaming(MMOs generally) and music production.
Btw if I go for the i5 than I don't have enough cash for the new PSU.. my old one is a Gygabite 460W witch I read it's a decent performer for it's age and price but will it be enough...
