Advice on a little upgrade

I have a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB and it is freaking awesome....Buy it!!!! If I would have known it was this awesome I would have gotten the 512 model!

Welll crap I guess with that boot time it should run BF3 on my 30 inch at over 125FPS ? For everybody else I have EVERYTHING running, WoW, BF2 Bad Company/Vietnam, Flight Sim X, Black Ops 2, Assassins Creed 3, Borderlands 2, BF3 I am still working on though...It's definetly freaking...

Yea once I get my new chair and desk built, I'll work on doing a little re-arranging of the cables. I gotta figure out this darn BF3, it will run but lock up at different random times, apparently this is a very known issue with BF3, so I'll have to do a little more research, but otherwise this...

Wowwwww, I finally got her all put together and up and running....Ended up loading Windows 8 Pro in around 12 minutes or less I think??? After downloading a bunch of my programs, installing bf3 and what not, I do a restart and it doesn't boot...So I recover windows and do it all over...

True, but it is worth an extra 400 or 500 for an extra 20 FPS. Either way the computer will be ok, I'm happy with the purchase overkill or not, I worked 2 years in Afghan and I said when I get back I will buy whatever I want for my next build.

Wow interesting build. I thought about doing a 3 monitor setup, but I need to be able to ship this overseas and I don't know how much space I will have...Currently I'm at my parents and there is absolutely no room for 3 monitors, so I just stuck with simplicited 1 big monitor. Cool build...

Just got back in from Overseas. All the parts are here I need to start working on this monster. As for 2GB vram not being enough, if Ultra Settings on BF3 at over 100FPS isn't enough then I guess nothing will ever be. I will get er built and post some pics....I appreciate all the comments, most...

I've read up on a bunch of benchmarks comparing the 2 x 670s and the 1 x 690 at the top end resolution with maxxed out settings and every time the 690 beats it in frame rates. So I can't see a reason to unload the 690 for lower ranged cards that do not perform as well. Once you start OC'ing...

Wow two 670s "pratically" forms the same speed? Thats weird because last I checked 2 x 680 marginalllly performs better than 1 x 690, so curious how those 670s are so fast? Plus I wasn't looking to save money, I wanted 1 card with big power, and with this in mind I can pick up a second 690...

About to Pull the Trigger on My Future Build - Need Last Minute Advice

I am still trying to figure out the whole dual 690 thing. You must have some fantastic friends to spend 1000 on a video card as a present, hell my friends barely spend 10 bucks on me. If your doing a 3 monitor setup the 690s would be nice but not needed.

I thought about 2 x 680s, but I'm not a fan of dual cards when I can get 2 cards in 1 card. It's less power and less heat. I could always throw a second 690 in there if I need to but with the current performance of 1 I don't see why I'd have to do that. As for memory I'll run it with the 8 GB...

Appreciate the Comments. I was looking at the 2011 and I couldn't seem to find the real difference, the only processors that I saw that supported the 2011 were the Sandy bridge processors and I thought that the Ivy was newer, that confused me a bit so I just went with what I knew. To answer on...

Gaming Build CPU/Mobo/Ram

ASRock is what I went with on my build, even out of all the reviews on newegg and techbargains everybody seems to favor them. Usually I'm partial to Asus or MSI but ASRock seems to be the new favorite.

My $3000 Build Thread [Completed]

Wow that is one clean build man. I just finished ordering all my parts for my computer. Should be able to start building in the next 3 days when I arrive in the states. That is a very clean build inside and out, over all looks great!
