BF3 - GTX680 Lightning/i7 3770k - Sluggish gameplay

Believe it or not, using the Ultra preset eliminates the stuttering or at least makes the game-play very smooth. This is the only fix that I've found.

Did a fraps benchmark test on almost empty caspian border server (4 players) for the 60hz settings with v-sync/adaptive v-sync on and the lowest settings preset. still the same :(

Well, I've just tried it. Set it to 60hz, turned on V-sync under battlefield and activated the the adaptive one under NCP because anything besides that caused tearing. Anyways, unfortunately, still the same, not smooth at all.

Yeah, this point has been covered before, I did remove the OC and reverted back to default clock. But no, the problem remained. However, it was a short test. I'll do an extensive one when I have time and keep you posted. Thanks anyways :)

CPU was still overclocked during that test. However, I did revert back to the stock clock but the game was still stuttering. I will do some extensive tests on default clocks to see how it goes. I did try Battlefield BC2 a while ago and everything was set on ultra. The FPS were very high...

Yeah, I can confirm that even with fps higher than 60, it feels slow paced. This is terrible. Anyways, have you ever tried to set the monitor to work on 60hz ? I am thinking about doing this test today and see how it goes.

Yeah, back in a day before I bought my new rig (almost 1 month ago), I used to play on a laptop with an i7 processor and 5650m. I was honestly satisfied with the game on low settings with fps ranging between 35-45. It was ugly but kinda smooth.

Yup, it happens every time but not the moment I start to play, it takes like 5~10 min if not instantly (rarely). Also, My monitor is set on 120hz.

I've already tried the (v-sync off) option on both NCP and BF3. For now, i'll try what you suggested, V-SYNC on both sides. Nop, bf3 doesn't support physx. Power management is set to maximum performance.
