Hello, if you don't want to go through a company offering that service, then your best bet would be to buy a late model 4-head VCR. Even then you might have to do some light repair work yourself, there's a fair chance that the belts are brittle by now or that one of the capacitors started...

Laptop upgrade - is a i5 2.27 Ghz >>> over Athlon X2 QL-62 2.0 Ghz, both dual core?

Tftcentral usually lists if a monitor has a power brick under the accessories category in their features table. I believe the Dell Ultrasharp series comes with internal PSUs as well, at least the U2717D does. As for CCFLs, it's pretty much as you said, most TFTs come with LED backlighting...

So, anyone want to do a comparison what is faster: Changing a GPU today with registrations for warranty extensions and promo codes or changing a GPU 20 years ago with all the restarts you had to do in Win 95 to get a working system. I can see why they would do this, doesn't mean I like it.

Anyone downgrade native res to improve performance?

Nope. I would hate to go back down to a pixel density below my 27" 1440p monitor (108 ppi) and I would hate to go back down in monitor diagonal as well (to keep a high ppi on 1080p). We'll have faster GPU options by the time HDR starts being relevant anyways, so that's a non-issue for me as well.

There are some stupid SFF cases out there that are a pain in the butt where you have to take build order into account and squeeze cables through small channels but the Nano S certainly isn't one of them. That case can even take a full custom loop and be sort-of easy to work in as well...

Aside from this probably being false - I wouldn't be surprised if we see a market consolidation in the next two years, with one or more brands disappearing. There are simply too many SKUs and brands in the major markets right now and new brands like Manli trying to enter it too.

I can hook a Keyboard, Mouse and Monitor to a Lumia 950. I would actually pay for this if it made that combination with Witcher 3 happen, if only as a party gag. As a service on my desktop PC - completely uninteresting.

Generous calculation: Two RX480 would be 170W*2= 340W. The rest of your system adds about 120W at load. That's about right for best efficiency of a good quality 550W PSU (yours is a good quality one). You'll be fine unless you got a lemon PSU. edit: Also, your CPU is fine too. No bottlenecking...
