What's this worth? 15" Powerbook 867

One 19" or two 17" lcds?

That only applies in the world of CRT's. Since the LCD's native resolution is 1280x1024, the screen is physically sized in the correct ratio.

This is a Photoshop limitation, not an operating system limitation. 64-bit Windows will have no effect on this. For photographic work, CRT's are far superior. LCD's just don't have the colour reproduction needed for professional photographic editing.

How reliable is your cable service? You said you'd rather not go with DSL, but here's an interesting thought: keep your existing cable, and get a DSL connection. Then get a router that supports 2 broadband connections. When both are working, you get a load balanced connection, if either one...

have you tried Windows XP remote desktop? You can't play games over it, but it's pretty good for everything else--especially on a 100mbps or gigabit ethernet connection. This still requires a 2nd pc to be the 'terminal' but it doesn't need to be especially powerful.

Lexar Compact Flash 12x 32x and 40x

In the Canon A70, there will be no difference at all. The only place you will notice a difference is if you use an external compact flash reader to copy the pictures onto your computer. I've got a Canon S400 with a 256mb Lexar 12x and I'm happy with it.

Proper firewall with 2003 Server?

I've been looking around at routers that support automatic dialup fail-over. One that I've found is www.snapgear.com. They seem to be quite reasonably priced compared to a lot of others. I'd like to hear comments from others on them.

CAR AUDIO guys--need your opinions!!

I have a friend with a Kappa 12.1 in a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It is getting 400W, and he got a 4ch amplifier for the factory Infinity speakers (to replace the factory amp). The bass is plenty. Keep in mind that SUV's are not that large inside... and the subwoofer is in the same cabin...
