  1. Most reliable SSD released in the last 5 years?

Well yes, with your stipulations that it is an average user with an average use case I guess you are kind of correct -- but then again, that IS a use case.
  2. Most reliable SSD released in the last 5 years?

Lol what a lame thread if you were just wanting to come in later and try to look smart.
  3. ISO to USB

I think it is only bootable in UEFI though.
  4. Most reliable SSD released in the last 5 years?

This really depends on use case. What will you be using the drive for? Will your use be very write intensive, very read intensive, mixed?
  5. What Are the Hallmarks of Good / Bad Code?

This! I don't have a choice about braces, whitespace, tabs, etc. Asytle for the win!
  6. Big-O Algorithm & Time Complexities

Right. I guess I should have been more clear. Being able to think through this type of thing in your head and make a decent algorithm that isn't O(n^x) or O(n!) if it doesn't absolutely need to be is really important. Especially if you will be writing code that needs to be fast.
  7. Big-O Algorithm & Time Complexities

No problem. Study hard on this topic, it is really important. I am graduating this December and just accepted a position where in the interview they asked me tons of Big O stuff.
  8. Big-O Algorithm & Time Complexities

    It is B. X^4/X^3 = X^(4-3) = X^1 = X --> X < X^2
  9. Big-O Algorithm & Time Complexities

Drop the constants too. 17x^5 is equivalent to x^5 99x^3 is equivalent to x^3 Wait until you take Theory of Algorithms if your school offers it, that is where this stuff gets really interesting.
  10. Crossfire 5750 question.

I don't even know what this means...
  11. Some basic questions about converting from Mediabrowser 3/WMC to XBMC

Nm didn't read full OP. OP is already aware of XBMB3C.
  12. Should I get a 3TB or 4TB HDD? Are they reliable?

I have this board in a HTPC and would have no problem recommending it.
  14. Any of these keyboards pictured worth anything?

I didn't think so, but the pics were so terrible I couldn't tell on the non-Dell ones. IBM has a huge campus here, and I always pray some old IBM guy will post a bunch of their legendary old keyboards on Craigslist. Alas, it never happens.
  15. Any of these keyboards pictured worth anything?

Guy has a post on Craigslist with some old keyboards, but I can't make out if any of the models are good. Anyone see anything worth picking up in either of these photos?
  16. Best deal on a budget desktop PC?

What model is your laptop? If there is a docking station available, I would just do that if you don't want to spend much money. If there is no docking station for your laptop, then it is a pita to use as a desktop. Constantly plugging and unplugging monitor, keyboard, etc. gets to be a real...
  17. 7950 Crashing My System

So I never ended up RMAing as I have been very busy and not been gaming, and it never crashed my computer when not under load. Decided to try Heaven and Valley benchmarks today again, and it runs them fine w/ absolutely no issues. Any idea what the heck happened between then and now? Is there...
  18. Mouse for big hands, <$60 range preferred

I am at my computer a ton doing various things, but no gaming. Recently been having aches in hands and wrists that I think are probably early stages of carpal tunnel or tendinitis, so I have decided to upgrade my mouse and keyboard from shit Logitech $30 wireless combos. I have already bought...
  19. Is the 4th Gen Intel Core i3 Underrated

I usually go for the i3 when I don't need a high end chip because it is the cheapest chip that qualifies for Microcenter motherboard bundles, and it has pretty good onboard graphics.
  20. 7950 Crashing My System

Fresh install of Windows didn't help. Still crashing in the same situations. Going to try it in my other system to try and rule out PSU, but probably won't get around to that until tomorrow. Oh, and I tried all the same tests with onboard video before reformatting and no crashes.
  21. 7950 Crashing My System

System was able to run OCCT GPU test and OCCT PSU test for 5+ minutes without crashing. Tried uninstalling GPU drivers and trying older ones, still no dice. Temps don't seem too bad, they max at 76C. Voltage never seems to go above 1.25. Still crashing to black screen in Unigine Heaven and...
  22. 7950 Crashing My System

I will try all the suggestions this evening and report back. Thanks.
  23. 7950 Crashing My System

Hello all. I purchased a HIS 7950 IceQ Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card H795QC3G2M less than 3 months ago (mid-October). Ran great at first. Cool, quiet, no crashes. Card has never been overclocked and never used for mining. Starting yesterday this thing is crashing my system. I...

  26. Cloning Macbook HDD to SSD including Bootcamp?

I decided to just reinstall. I didn't have much on the Windows side. Cloning the OSX partition didn't take long at all using recovery and a USB3 enclosure.
  27. Cloning Macbook HDD to SSD including Bootcamp?

Hi all. I just purchased an SSD I plan on installing in my mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13". I have watched tutorials on how to clone the HDD over to the new SSD, but none of them seem to have included a Bootcamp partition. Is the procedure going to be the same, different, or impossible? If I have to...

  29. Is the HTPC dead for the guy who wants to record/watch OTA?

I believe Media Browser 3 will (does?) have OTA TV watching and recording capabilities.
  30. Replacement for aging WRT54G

If you are looking for something cheap and temporary, why not buy something used on CraigsList? Could probably even find another WRT54G for < $20.

  32. Is this all I need to pick up OTA TV on my desktop?

No, I have Charter in MN. Some places and some companies they leave stuff clear, others it is encrypted. Just have to try.
  33. Is this all I need to pick up OTA TV on my desktop?

Also, if you have cable internet try plugging into the outlet and doing a scan. I get all 4 major networks plus some other channels like ion clear qam.
  34. System i5-2500k (400-416)€~(550-580)$

Lol, your bump got me good. I read op before looking at date wondering why in the heck the i5 2500k was on your wish list!!! Glad to hear your rig is working well.
  35. Feedback on my first HTPC parts list

I wouldn't bother with 32GB. 64GB would be enough, but you can find 120GB ones for not much more so find a sale on a 120GB SSD for $80-$90 and go with that, you won't regret it. Here are a couple decent options: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A1ZTZOG/?tag=pcpapi-20...
  36. Feedback on my first HTPC parts list

Difference between HDD and SSD when loading your media collectiion/metadata in a program like MediaBrowser is like night and day.
  37. Computer doesn't automatically turn off after shut down

Good chance it is not a Windows 8 thing. My rig does the same thing (always shuts down completely when restarting, intermittently does not shut down fully when doing a shutdown) and I have only ever had Windows 7 installed. I also have an ASRock motherboard, a Z77 Extreme4.
  38. Dell Inspiron 660 3-4 monitors?

I have a 6670 and it runs three monitors no problem as long as one is hooked up via DP.

    iPads and that's about it.
  40. GTX 760 SLI Bottleneck

Even then it is usually a better move to sell your current card when upgrading and get a better single card.
