Nice specs but I would personally not buy anything with a 1366 x 768 resolution, at least 1080p for me. Acer also has a jumpy touch pad. Otherwise OK deal.
I sure you want to be in your comfort zone it's more comforting and familiar situation. But Windows 8.1 is a superior OS than Windows 7. But if you are running some proprietary legacy software which cannot run on Windows 8.1 or the upcoming Windows 10 then you should be using Windows 7or XP...

How old is the data on that drive? 840 EVOs have a tendency to chock down on a data that is few months old. I hope 850 evos are not having the same issue. I wont be surprised if they are. I don't trust TLC drives.
