here an update, I spend all night doing research and pulling my hair out lol but here the parts I just ordered, finally pull the plug! i7 6700k , GIGABYTE G1 GAZ170X Gaming GT , 2 x 8gb hyper X matching kit , Intel 730 SSD ( 480 GB ) , evga 700w psu came out at $1,023 plus I get 2% cash back...

I plan to game 3 or 4 different games.. star wars battlefront, mafia 3 ( this fall ) , battlefield , etc. not a hardcore gamer but the games I like to play require a decent GPU. plus I do some of folding / crunching. the poor i7 930 doesn't get me many points per day.

Alright, need to improve points per day ( PPD ) currently I have i7 930 D0 stepping with GeForce GT220 card. Option # 1 buy I7 4770K pair it up with GTX 950's or 960's ( 980 TI is too spendy for my blood ) Option # 2 keep my i7 930 setup and just buy 2 x GTX's cards and call it a day ?

How do I get faster read speeds with my Samsung 840 Pro?
