Thanks for the screenshots.. you can't get previews of images though? If I had to do that it could be an alternative but I don't know if that would be better than the SSD route....

Have you ever heard of anyone opening up so much info with a batch file like this?
Because it's an immense amount of info - files/documents. The way I imagine it is that I would have too many open documents to make sense of. With the RAMdisk the files are organized... and immediately ready to open as if they were opened already.
Unless there is another way to do this..
