Couldn't you just get on an unsecure wireless connection to DL warez and kiddy pr0n?

The remote server could log the router's _IP_ address, not its MAC address. The wireless router's MAC address is effectively "stripped" once packets hit the ISP's gateway. At the remote end, the only MAC address the server sees is that of its gateway.

Did you take the weights out of your mx510?

It is about doing everything possible to get even the slightest edge over your opponent. Gamers take out the MX500/510 weight for the same reason they spend money on fancy mouse pads (for their optical mice) and teflon mouse skates. Or still prefer using a CRT over LCD or spend hours tweaking...

It only has an x8 PCIe slot, so you may be out of luck adding a discrete gaming vidcard in the future. I would recommend just going with a 400SC, then get a more capable system when required. You could probably fully configure a /second/ 400SC for the cost of the 2nd XEON chip.

CD Combo Drives

I use Samsung DVD-ROM/CDRW combo drives in all of my custom client builds. Never had a problem with them and they run very quiet. The models starting with SM work fine in Nero 5, but the ones starting with TS require Nero 6 (fyi, just in case).

IMO the 510 / 500 are better for FPS gaming since they weigh less. There is also an internal weight that can be easily removed. The only tradeoff is having to deal with a mousecord.
