Acer X34 or Asus PG348Q worth it?

I was meaning you can buy a uhd TV for not much more. Plus two screens is still cheaper depending on what you get. Personally since I have the desk space I prefer that. But that's just imo.

Is my i5 2500k finally becoming a bottleneck?

I run witcher 3 on my 2500k just fine with a 780ti. Didn't even notice if there was a bottleneck in the processor as it just seems more gpu bottlenecked. My cpu is clocked to 4.5.

Why more Vram is always better

I gave up on this whole vram debate. I buy the lower vram cards and have never had an issue. Issues I've had was turning down game settings because my card was to slow at maximum settings to run. But then again I don't need MSAA 8X or even 4X to enjoy a game. To me that's overkill in many...

Og 840 non evo or pro still kickin!!!

What immersive PC experience would you rather have?

I want a nice long big curved monitor that not only has high resolution, but has high refresh rates with gysnc/freesync. I think that would be awesome!!! As far as vr, never been a fan as I get motion sickness.

Will Windows 10 still have windows media center support?

Another WMC user that used media browser that switched to Plex. Getting a plex pass and using my phone as a remote, or to carry all my library with me is a huge plus!!! Didn't really use wmc for the tv aspect of it though, but I do know Plex has a growing list of apps kind of like a smart box...

help me convince a friend to keep his quad-core i5 from 2012

Isn't directx 12 going to take more strain off the cpu and put it more on the gpu? Or am I wrong on this? I would say gpu for better performance. You will always gain performance unless you're on a dinosaur of a cpu where everything is bottlenecked. Tell him to get a freesync/gsync monitor...

DDR 2400 MHz or wait for upgrade to DDR4?

Your Ram is fine. Ram has so much bandwidth these days we haven't been bandwidth or speed limited in a long time. Even now 8 gigs seems to be more than enough and has been for a long time. If you have 8 gigs of 1600mhz ddr3 ram I say stick with it. There's no applications or new hardware...

By the time the games come out that would need more than 2 gigs of vram, you would have to turn down the settings regardless of how much vram you use because your card wouldn't be able to handle it.

Will a i5-4670 bottleneck a R9 270x?

I highly highly doubt that a 4670 will bottleneck any gpu right now even not overclocked. Only scenerio that might hurt you is runing low resolutions which why the hell would you care if it's between 300fps or 260 fps? And maybe some multiplayer games might take a small hit. Small enough for...

GTX 660, SLI or sell off for bigger?

I also have a 30" 2560X1600 monitor that is not hooked up yet due to me moving and needing a new desk. TBH I prefer to play all my games on the big screen on the couch. While the higher res monitor is defiantly nicer, I prefer comfort over a crisper picture. Also could care less about 120 hz...
