ATI 7970 vs 7950

The 7970 is about 5-10% faster clock for clock. If it's enough performance to warrant the extra cost, that's a question only you can answer. The reference cards are fine, unless you have a problem with noise. As far as performance goes, different brands make no matter.

Want to go CFX - suggestions please...

You should really, I mean REALLY, find some review or at least some user experience with hybrid CFX. Remember that AFR means one card renders a frame, then the other one renders the next. A slower card could very well screw up with your frametimes. CFX already has microstuttering problems as it is.

I always prefer to use games to test stability. Crysis 3 is a pretty good one if you have it. Furmark and the like can be helpful, but they use your GPU in a much different way than games do. It's not uncommon to find a stable overclock in Furmark that will crash games. Or vice-versa. Not to...

It doesn't. Go to a big area like Mountain village or shantytown, watch how your FPS and GPU usage drops. Now check your CPU per core usage since it's the culprit. Only 2 cores are taxed, the rest not at all.

Core voltage and Power limit

General consensus seems to be don't overvoltage your memory since it significantly reduces it's lifespan. For benchmarking it's not much of a problem, but 24/7 usage is a no no.

It isn't much of a problem, specially since you already have experience with SLI. Generally speaking, if you want performance SLI is your answer. If stability and ease-of-use are more important to you than performance, go with the Titan.

As homebrew2ny said, neither will keep a 60fps average with all games. SLI will get you closer than the Titan, but only triple SLI would get there, I think.

Except Hawken developers clearly skipped implementing the "generic version" of the effects and went directly to PhysX. I don't exactly blame them (too much) for it, because developing both versions would require more time and money than a single version, but the result is PhysX did indirectly...

Nobody can be sure. The titan is new, so it has more "optimization headroom" so to speak, but the 680 isn't exactly fully optimized, especially when considering SLI. The titan will very likely close the gap, but how much is anyone's guess. I certainly wouldn't assume it will match the 680s and...

SLI can be a pain sometimes, I always prefer single GPU solutions. That said, you will get significantly more performance from the 680s, so if you're used to SLI and it's perks (considering you bought two 680s I'd guess you are) then you will probably want to keep them.

You're missing the point. I don't think anyone is arguing PhysX effects don't look better than their CPU equivalents. The issue here is what developers did with PhysX off in Hawken is the equivalent of bald Lara.

If 74C is your max, you really don't need to. I mean REALLY don't need to. My reference 7970 reaches low 80s at stock clocks and fan profile. The fan profile is very silent, won't even reach 50% at 80C. Again, this is a reference card at stock, and it reaches 80C. I have absolutely no airflow...

They are too damn loud. At stock they aren't too annoying, but a GHz edition overclock will push my patience. Anything beyond that is just unbearable. Seriously considering buying one of these.

Looking to buy one of these myself. The reference cooler is just too loud, period. If you overclock it you're beyond screwed. Aftermarket coolers are pretty much a necessity.

That's 13.2 beta 7. That's the latest one (you can find 13.2 beta 6, 13.2 beta 5 and so on, they are earlier versions). It includes Catalyst, HDMI audio drivers and everything else. That's the one you want.
