    If you want to run DDR2 800 RAM at the rated speed set the "System Clock Mode" in the "Frequency/Voltage" screen to "Unlinked" , otherwise it will run only at DDR2 667. I concur that it is an inexpensive, yet solid board. Just don't expect it to be an overclocking monster.

    1T timing here with tRAS at 10. RAM in the two slots closest to the processor. Perfectly stable. Try giving a little more voltage to the RAM.

    According to the latest version of SiSoftware Sandra (standard version 2004.10.9.89), the PCI bus is at 33Mhz with a 1/5 divider with the CPU running at 166Mhz FSB.     I have that same U160 in an Asus P3B-F motherboard that only has 32 bit PCI slots. BTW the Tekram is also a 64/32 bit card. Should work fine. You could also ask Hypermicro :).

    Oldie but a Goldie Question - Asus P2B

    Some of the later revision 1.10 boards had a voltage regulator that could go down to 1.3v. Look for the following markings HIP6019BCB on the regulator. I had a revision 1.10 with the same regulator and was running a Celeron 566 in an Iwill slotket at 850Mhz at 1.5v (voltage adjusted at the slotket)

    You can use two SCSI controllers, but may loose an IRQ. Most good new SCSI drives are U160 LVD, soon U320. You may be better off getting something like a Tekram DC-390U3W which will support your Plextor as well as LVD drives.

    Have you tried the card in an unshared PCI slot (will share the same IRQ for the two channels). Is the LVD terminator plugged in at the end of the cable. Check here for jumper settings for your 10K II 10K II. What are your SCSI adapter and SCSI device properties in BIOS?
