trackball brain adjustment

The only real adjustment will be when friends use your computer. If you have any applications like Photoshop, you'll immediately come to appreciate the increased precision that comes from separating mouse clicks from physical movement of the trackball. Enjoy!

New Maxtor 160GB DM9 chatters

I've also got a Maxtor 160GB DM9. Head movement is decidedly lounder than IBM and WD drives I also have here, but it out-performs everything including some WD-JB drives. For my purposes - worth it, ESPECIALLY at the price I got it at.

IDE RAID VS. IDE drives.

I think that the implication that data lost on RAID drives are somehow more lost than data lost on non-RAID drives. If the information on a computer is important, BACK IT UP. Finding a convenient scapegoat doesn't bring it back.

Need a printer that prints from Dos? hot to tell from specs?

Quick hint - if it connects to your machine with a USB cable, life automatically got harder as DOS predates USB and getting your aps to print on the right output just more difficult. There ARE workarounds, particularly in a network environment. But why ask for trouble in the first place?
