Correct me if I'm wrong here. If I want to start fresh as in installing a new OS onto the SSD then I do not need any wires? So all I have to do is remove the HDD and add the SSD then just install the OS like normal? or do I still need the sata cable?

Yes my HDD is 1TB I think. It only has windows 7 ultimate and nothing else because I reformatted my PC yesterday.
