    With the computer off(flip switch on back of power supply so its off) hold the power on button on the case to drain the residual power left(10 seconds)then flip the switch on the back of the PSU ON, try again. It's running through the code's which is good, not sure what the boot codes for a X99...

    There are many taking a 4 core well past 6Mhz, you just need to know where to look is all. http://hwbot.org/ I've seen many 5960K'S well past 4.3Mhz. Though Intel will be stopping to TICK TOCK as a pattern to release new CPU'S.

    First off list all parts in your system, secondly was it running continuously like 24/7? The power supply could still boot a board(that doesn't mean its not) on its last leg, can you try another power supply? Have a micro center near by, you could return it if it doesn't change......

    Flee bay prices on X99 mother boards are low, used ones can be had for a decent price. not sure on the time release of the new CPU'S, but Id wait see what pops. Worse case buy a CPU that's been out anyway,as always do your research on anything you buy. Keep asking question's knowledge is power...

    I like it, my issue tomorrow always comes(LOL!). It probably has the M-sata, I think it would last you a while taken care of. Can't go wrong with a board for less then $100, my 2 cents.

    I must say in Asus defense I have RMA multiple boards with good service, I think there GPU service is different then the mother board one. MSI gave me good service, I think the people get down cause lets face it you aint happy!!! Then it leads back to the customer, not getting what they need...

    Nice up grade if it wouldn't run it, it wouldn't fit it. You wont be doing much without a nice aftermarket cooler though.............

    Install your Operating system> install LAN drivers> install updates for Windows(After that make a back if needed)>install all other drivers

    Used to be true of older hardware, but now days when the PSU takes a crap it will not take stuff with it such as the CPU,memory, HDD'S,ETC. The more hours on a PSU the more likely the caps lose there ratting and start to run out of spec's.
