So I decided to go ahead and turn on the old HX620w (with only one stick of RAM), and the only difference was that instead of turning on a few times before turning off (which it did under the RM650i), the PWR_LED was flashing weakly at a stable interval. Whether it would have done so...

So I've finally got the time to deal with this (and I wanna play the current Overwatch event), and I'm going to swap out the PSU today. The new one is a Corsair RM650i and the new one is a ditto HX620w. I just have one stupid question: If the cables fit, there won't be any problem, right...

Oh okay lol. Mine is a Core2Duo E6600. From 2007. And I did check if there was smoke coming out from under the heatsink. ;) Everything seemed quite normal. I haven't so much as had my desktop turned on for about half a year, maybe that's the reason for the faulty readings. Part of the story is...

Correcting Abnormal Voltages

My voltages are all wrong. My 3.3V is at 4.08, my 5V at 6.05, and my 12V at 16.32! And my Vcore is at 4.16. There is an option of setting the voltage to "ignore", but I don't that's the right solution... How do I deal with this? Do I need to buy a new PSU? Does it need a thorough vacuuming...
