Hi All,
Anyone interested in buying memory, might want to take a look at the following:
http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewListedItems&userid=marksales&include=0&since=-1&sort=2&rows=25
Person has lot's of memory going! And seems to be good...
I beg to differ on that one, just take a look at the BX motherboard. You can take a 133MHz Bus 800EB and 100MHz Bus 800E, and I will GUARANTEE that the 133MHz Video will be FASTER!
In fact it can do quite a lot.. I remember about a year ago taking a 600E to 852MHz with a Geforce DDR and it...
PM: I am not saying that having the lowerend chips is bad. And charging more for the higher-end chips is normal! I just feel that in most cases a 800EB probably came from the same wafer as the 600E.
You can buy dozen and dozen of 600E and probably over 98% will make it to 800EB easily. I...
All depends on the week you get! I got a duron 600 running at 1080MHz with a FOP38. And week 36's have been hitting 1100MHz also! PCNut.com is selling them pre-tested at 1000MHz.
What I have found is that usually the lower end chips do better... Especially with the new chip's, 1GHz is...
It's very simply there are only a few choices in my mind:
Intel Pentium III New Stepping running at 1000MHz
Duron 600MHz running at 1000MHz or more
TBird 750MHz running at 1000MHz or more (Copper Dresden)
Motherboard
ABIT BX-133 Raid (BX Chipset, best overall performance)
ABIT KT7-Raid (Raid...
I agree with the fact that Intel overclocks there chips. And also agree with the fact that a 600E and 800EB is probably the same chip.
Why you ask?
Intel has a very good yield up to a certain MHz. When you buy a
600MHz chip you are NOT buying a weaker chip. It simply has to do with having a...
Assuming you want to keep your celeron, I would suggest a Abit BX-133.
Performance wise you just cant get any better. Only thing missing is 4X AGP which right now is useless!
Of course if you want a new chip, then go with a KT7-Raid accompanied by a Duron 600 Overlocked or a T-Bird 750MHz...
Ok by replacing the clock generator will that allow me to clock higher in the FSB?
As overlockers we all want more MHz and Power, and 92MHZ AGP Bus I think would give it a nice boost! And of course the higher the bus the nicer the overall performace of eveything ;-) What are your thoughts...
Anyone know anything about the Turbo-PLL? It's my understanding that is will allow you control the AGP/FSB/PCI seperately and allow you to get more FSB than stock (by replacing the crystal)??
Contsantly going to Japanese web pages that run KT133 chipset's at 140MHZ bus, etc! 140MHz bus...
