Not having that problem at all here (at stock clocks, Haven't tried OCing it yet). Mine actually boosts higher than the rated boost clock, and seems to maintain it as long as I'm gaming (boosts to 1304 instead of the stated 1241).
I haven't seen any issues with it throttling under load.
Can we stop spreading this 'mantle has lower IQ to increase performance' FUD please?
DICE has already stated that the fog is a bug on their end, that will be fixed, and that it does not effect performance.
Its a gamma related bug, its nothing to do with draw distance or performance.
This is the very first public release of a brand new low level API and beta driver. AMD said that this is to be considered an early beta. Beta's have bugs.
IMO its in pretty good shape for an initial beta release, I've been able to play whole matches with the mantle renderer with relativity few...

BF4's rendering architect already responded to this. The increased 'fog' is a bug, it will be fixed, and the bug does not impact performance (The stuff 'behind' the fog is still being rendered):

Mantle is showing great potential so far!
With dx11 renderer I always drop down to 40-50 fps on certain spots on the more intensive maps like seige of shanghai. With mantle I get a MASSIVE increase in *minimum* fps.

I have a sapphire 280x that says it supports UEFI, and a biostar z68 mb that already has a UEFI bios (and fully updated). I also have windows 8.1 installed in UEFI mode.
It happens to me sometimes with my 280x with latest catalyst 13.11. doesn't happen often (I've only seen it happen a few times), but its annoying when it does. power-cycling my monitor doesn't seem to help either, nor does ctrl alt del. But if I just tap the power button on my tower windows does...
Yeah, I hope they rebound. The more competition between intel and AMD the better it is for consumers. Lower prices and more innovation.
Its a shame they dropped the ball so much after intel's c2d was released. They essentially made the exact same mistakes intel made with netburst.
Purely based on visuals, I'd say cryengine3. Its very impressive. The character models and facial animations are the best I've ever seen. Its also got amazing lighting/shadows/effects and very good hardware utilization.
Frostbite 3 is also a very good engine though, BF4 looks great and performs...
In the past I never really had a particular package management preference. apt and yum always worked well enough for me but I can't say I was drawn to either. (Yum is rather slow, but its history and rollback features are pretty nice). I liked the raw speed of arch's pacman and its easy pkgbuild...
