Real world no since it is still a viable CPU, benchmarks and efficiency yes. If it is for gaming performance GTX285 is getting long on the tooth and the CPU can handle the newest cards. Ultimately it is your decision.

Diffeerence Between G-45 and GD-45 MSI Motherboard

G45 is socket lga 1155 or 1150. GD45 is socket 2011 and calls for a more expensive CPU. What CPU are you using?

MSI P67A-C43 fails to boot OS after incorrect BIOS flash

Looks to me that they use the same BIOS since the top BIOS for the C43 is also on the list for the B3 board. MSI has the tendency not to update BIOS listings for all revisions of the same board. It looks like you had a bad flash if clear CMOS did not work.

HELP--temps question

Core temp needs in many cases to have offsets set to report correctly. The 34-35°C is a very believable since normal for air cooling is 10-12°C over ambient, I do not belief your sabertooth temps unless your ambient is very low.

The risk is always there and gets bigger as it gets older. I had an older Ultra X connect in the closet for two years and did what you are doing built from spare parts but found out that the PSU was failing that is most likely capacitors because it would not start unless multiple presses on the...

BSOD Coming Up After Booting - Win. 7, 64-Bit

Most BSOD's are because of faulty ram sticks which then can relate to files when looking at dumps. If you have more than one ram sticks try running with one at a time.

Z87 MPower MSI, correct port speed?

I took the specs for the slots from Newegg but this "3 x PCIe X16 Gen3 (16, 0, 0), (8, 8, 0), (8, 4, 4)" is from here http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z87-MPOWER-MAX.html Newegg is wrong! All three slots share 16 lanes so getting X8, X4, X4 is max what you can do. There is though only 1%...

Then it should be running the card at X16 and both SSD's at X4. Looks like your SSD's are running X8 = 5GT/s and X4 = 2.5GT/s and the GPU X4. You have any other PCIe equipment in X1 or X4 slots? Some boards share bandwidth between slots.

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB WIFI VS Asus P9X79 Deluxe ?

It is a good board like many others from different manufacturers and it is socket LGA1155 so it fits the I7 3770K. The other board in your title is socket LGA2011 and does not accept 3770K.

3770k OC motherboard.

The Asrock is good for that price but really any Z77 board will overclock and the question is more what features do you want like multi GPU support and so on.

Really the none K have locked multiplier and H77 board would be fine. Optional Z77 board to the Asrock above would be for example Asus P8Z77V-LX for single GPU or -LK for dual.

CF 7770 needs 520watts according to this http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm Your CM unit which is not efficient will be struggling (probably could do it) and is missing one PCIe power connector so I suggest replacing it with a quality unit that has the connectors you need...

Has a comparison between motherboards overclocking the same processor been done?

Usually sites that do board comparisons use the same CPU in all boards. Your problem may be insufficient cooling and so on.

PS Fail or ... ?

Some PSU's need reset on their power button or unplugging from wall to reset after a trip like power spikes and so on. Might be the reason here, my old Enermax liberty did that.

How often do you guys replace/upgrade your PSU?

I only run quality PSU's after I got into it. Only one (Enermax) has died in a rig, did so without damage to everything else. Had a couple of older none quality ones that I had replaced for quality units start failing when building a spare rig out of spares. Both had been sitting on a shelf for...

As stated above gaming on a laptop is mostly dependent of the GPU. An I7 laptop with Intel HD graphics is going to be disappointing compared to I3 with HD8750. On the other hand I am not sure where your number 7 would land with the Xfire graphics.
