Not trying to crap as these pieces are all good for the money, but don't get caught up in those "$xxx value" prices that amazon lists, they're pretty much arbitrarily made up. With the exception of the "Friday only", stuff which is $5-$10 off, those are the normal prices that these pieces go for.

6600GT Problems

Not to crap on slick, but he was given a laundry list of things to try in another thread to try to fix the problem, and never acknowledged that he did any... It's stupid to assume the card's bad under the conditions in which he was using it.

Here's a link to the kt600 board. Supports SATA and raid 0 and 1. I'd think that it's a warmer deal than the kt333. Glad I waited till I got home from work to find out about it and order.. :)

Which video card to buy for around $50 or less?

Ti 4200 can be had for $50-55 shipped from the FS forum. Don't think you could do better than that in that price range.

How does the weight/construction on either these compare to the EN-7237? I'm use my system as a footrest, and the 7237 has held up really well, whereas some of the cheaper cases have dented, etc easily. Are either of these on par? Thx, Tiger

Yes, for just the core chip, not a completed card of any sort. Just the chip. And only for graphics card manufacturers in bulk quantities. Doesn't help you any.

What's the least expensive card I can get for games like Halo?

This is strange, as I'm running Halo just fine on my 64 MB original Radeon (7200) with 1.4 GHz processor. Maybe I'm just missing all the details, but I don't notice anything missing... I'm planning a new system after the next gen of video cards come out... Makes me wonder what I've been...

Is the 9600 pro really THAT bad?

Remember? Hell, I'm still using my 64 VIVO in my main system. I play GTA3, BF1942, Tiger Woods, and RTCW: ET at 1024x768 with a couple of hiccups (mostly GTA3 texture issues), but for the most part, it hasn't ever let me down running at that resolution. Now, of course, with HL2 coming out...

Where are the Windows 2000 Radeon LE DRIVERS!!???

Agree with snowman. You probably won't even find a reference to an LE on ATI's site, because they do not make the card. It is, however, a standard Radeon, so just use the normal Radeon drivers.

Help! Lockups with Rom Drives

I just built a new duron system. Duron 750, KK-266, 384 MB Mosel, Toshiba DVD (just got today), and Teac 8x8x32 burner. Having trouble whenever I'm installing something off of the dvd or burner. Thought it was the burner at first, since I am not having any other lockups or problems...

Jau, I would doubt it. If you return it, I don't think anyone will check the firmware rev. Plus, if they release the firmware to the public (don't know if that is the case here or not), then you have the right to flash it if you desire.
