Major WinXP Pro Full Version Help needed

unfortunetly there is no one else that i know who has a copy of it that isn't included on a system recovery disk if you know what i mean. anyways if there's anyone else out there please feel free to post...i'm sure somebody has a copy out there and like i said, i'll pay for whatever costs are...

tech support said the only thing i could do was contact thier sales office however i wanted to try to avoid doing that and spending anymore money as all i need is just the CD. if i had lost the serial too that would be one thing but it would be great if one of you guys could help. Thanx

i'll second that one right there spike....and in respect to what element had to say about web servers, that's very true. but if you look at what kind of marketing statement they made, anyone who's purchasing memory for a server would know is untrue and the statement is geared for the average...

according to this picture of some rambus memory taken from newegg.com it appears that corsair too has fallen for marketing its components towards the internet. the statement on the memory packaging reads, "memory at internet speed." i mean come on, like if we're using pc100 or 800mhz rambus...

the problem isn't with the people that are 18 not being able to handle it, but it's the fact that now people in highschool will have legal access to alcohol and thus make it much easier for someone who is 16 who can't handle it to get thier hands on it.

well i have ME and 2k pro on two seperate drives and am dual booting them. i previously had advanced server on there as well but i removed it however the option is still on my boot menu so i need to know how to remove it. i've done a search and it doesn't say how i need to edit to boot.ini file...

from what i've seen it does just about as well as 2k does, it's really not that much different just alot more networking options and services.

Advanced server is a great operating system. awesome kernel and lots of neat little networking apps built right in. you can use it to configure a box to be pretty much any kind of server you can think of. also the wizards and help actually tell you pertient information unlike the stuff in 9x...

i've got one of those 180 trials versions of 2k advanced server that i got with the certification program. just curious if there's anyway to get around the trial limits on the software??? any ideas?? thanks

Poll: should Anand use PC150 in his reviews for KT133A boards so that the ram isn't the limiting factor?

it just makes sense that you'd want eliminate all the bottlenecks possible that way you can see what the chipset is completely capable of. why let the ram be the limiting factor in a test to see how fast the board can go, it just doesn't make sense to me. :)

i agree with the above, v-sync is your problem and you'll have to get the overclocking tool from 3dfx if you want to remove it. i'm sure there is a registry edit for it but i'm not sure what it is exactly. btw i haven't been able to find the overclocking addition to 3dfx tools since they...

i have win ME and 2k advanced server running in seperate partitions on the same physical drive. i'm using the boot manager for win2k to give me a start up menu, is there anyway that i can get rid of win2k completely without messing up the ME installation? thanx guys

First Time Builder - Many Questions

the OS is alittle overpriced, try to find yourself a "backup copy" :) as far as the processor goes, i wouldn't wait for the tbird c's, i'd just get a 1ghz, unlock it with a conductive pen and then drop the multiplier to 7.5 and up the bus to 133. that's the cheaper way out. also if...
