One fresh Windows 8 install later I have managed to update the @Bios program and the bios successfullt to the F3 bios. The problem has not gone away. :(

Have had to contact Gigabyte support as neither the @Bios utility would update the BIOS without being updated itself (no update is available), Q flash gave the same error and as far as I am aware one cannot update Q flash on its own. There is the DOS method but I simply cannot be bother to try...
No cool down time is required. Sometimes it happens after 5 minutes of being on, other hours then other days the PC will run all day without any problem. The power supply also has its own inlet for air so heat is not the issue.

The results on this page show how Kaveri clock for clock is quite an improvement over Richland in a number of tests.

The losses are up again as well. From 495 million in Q4 2012 to 620 million in Q4 2013 and 577 million for 2011 to 1.37 billion for 2012 to 2.44 billion in 2013.
The Athlon's are salvaged APU's, they may use the same socket but it would be the equivalent of me bundling in the FX series into the product mix, as they are CPU only parts.
The FirePro's I am also not including as they are a different brand. They do have a spec that matches the A10 Trinity...
I only said A10's and that is what I have provided. You would have to ask AMD about the rest or hope they also made slides about them and someone posts it.

A10 Richland's are also bad value as it is repeatedly claimed on this forum. The shipment figures suggest otherwise, all this despite being into a declining market and being "poor value".

In the screenshot of supposed Kaveri chip we have here the multithreaded score is lower than a lower clocked Trinity part a few posts down :confused:. Hence me questioning the validity of this screenshot.

I also ran the same benchmark on my A4 5300 which boosts to 3.6Ghz and I managed to get a score of 75. That leaves around a 11% clock speed difference between Kaveri boost speed and this Trinity A4 boost...

It is a bit weird that they used a DDR3 7750, however if Kaveri has performance levels similar to a DDR3 7750 this review could give us a rough idea of what to expect from the top desktop Kavari APU's.
It is to be expected from a low end part such as this. It will handle a number of older titles just fine based on what the E-350 could do.

A 7750 + 760k is good value in the UK and around the same price as the 6800k, a 7850 however is more expensive than the 6800k on its own.
If we compare a 7850 to a 6800k in the UK you are in two different performance brackets but two different prices brackets at the same time.

It has already started on the AMD side at retail with the 7000 series with no 7450, 7550 and 7650 cards. Although AMD use their GPU tech in their APU's so they won't be affected so badly. It is Nvidia that will be squeezed the most.
Multi threaded scenarios only, mainly as Piledriver trades blows with Ivybridge i7's in a few multitask related benchmarks. Haswell only brought small improvements over Ivybridge so it should be fairly easy for Steamroller to beat in certain benchmarks.
All I can safely expect from Steamroller is the 8 core chip being faster in well multithreaded scenarios than the i7. When it comes to singlethread performance steamroller has no hope of catching up with Haswell other than closing the gap a bit.
It's on average 30% slower than desktop Richland which on the GPU front brought no noticeable improvements over Trinity. Desktop Trinity was launched some 9 months before HD 4600.

The large L2 on Llano makes it quite hard to see if the improvement is mainly cache related or not.
Just look at the steam hardware survey. Plenty of cards on there that will not provide playable frame rates at 1080p.

Well some people play the game for the game play, not just for the graphics. Millions are perfectly happy playing games at sub 720p on xbox 360 and PS3, I'm sure millions are happy with 720p graphics on PC's.
Still not a single chip solution and not something any big OEM's are likely to offer, which is where the bulk of PC sales are. It is where the APU fits in nicely, good enough CPU power, good enough GPU power for most people without a discrete card.
A Phenom II 965 comes with a 125 watt TDP just for the CPU alone, it is also a slower chip than Richland, then you need to throw in the an an additional 55 watts for the GPU. You may find yourself buying a higher wattage PSU as a result, which will come with a higher cost. Also with the CPU...
