Setting up a "simple" network with separate users

I'm trying to figure out how to setup a network for a building with roughly 20 office spaces. The way it works is that this is a free building in which anyone can sign up and take an office for a period of time todo work and/or startup a small business. Atm we have internet and 1 big switch...

SSD or HDD for torrents?

To be honest that should be no problem. Just look at a slower drive like the WD Green. In worst case random reads is around 23MB/sec That MB vs Mbit of your upload. So Translated thats 184Mbit/sec So in theory at least that should be more then enough. Only when your talking about +Gbit...

Update: Like predicted in some of the bad reviews the thing is starting to buckle under its own bloatware. Streaming is a pain and writing to it suffers from smb disconnects. Seems ALOT of ppl have problems with this thing if your not just using it as a backup drive. Tried downgrading firmware...

A small update and experience with the drive: Got a 3TB WD MYcloud which was easy enough to setup. Kinda ignored the whole WD suite and handled it like a SMB drive which works perfectly. I did setup 1 online account for easy access when i'm on the go which also was easy todo. Atm i am writing...

My 128GB Kingston V100 bit the dust

This sounds alot like the same issue alot of people are having with a certain controller (in my case the Vertex2 that has issues with Ivy Bridge when starting up. Sometimes it will fail to detect the drive. There is no issue with the drive itself, just that the bios doesnt see the drive...

SSD Read Speed Tester

The speed issue is already fixed with the evo patch. And like i said i ran HDtune. AHCI drivers, No antivirus besides Windows Defender and their own anti malware stuff. Windows 7 64bit If you want i can run the AS SSD benchmark.

Haswell Quick Sync and discrete GPU

Virtu allows the iGPU to be used for quicksync while running a discrete GPU. Doing so now on my Asus Z77 MB. Works like a charm :D
