RAM or SSD for upgrade?

I should note that money isn't an issue, a 120gb Kingston SSD is the same price as a 4gb set of RAM.

Hey everyone, At work I run 32 bit with (4gb) of RAM. I have a lot of applications open like outlook, office (multiple spreadsheets), a couple different web browsers, log me in. Just a lot of light applications and my machine is using 85% of RAm and I get slow downs and bit of lag. Would I get...

Not sure what hardware needed for 4 monitor setup?

Hi guys, I figured it's cheaper to get 2 GPUs rather than an expensive one with 4 ports. I do not need to game. I'm looking at 21 inches but I'm unsure can I just buy any monitor brand and not sure what the term is but any bracket/stand. I want the setup as a square. Thanks for any help.

Guide on how to setup AD, DHCP and DNS in a virtual Server environment?

I'm looking at trying to get some experience on a Windows server operating system to help me apply for jobs. I want to learn how to create an Active Directory, DHCP and DNS environment in a virtual configuration so I don't have to obviously buy things. I've tried searching the web for guides but...

So I'll get a fan for my CPU. With the cae I get a 120 and a 140. Where should these go? Bubbl recomended I stick the 140 on the side of the case and a 120 on top sucking out?

Okay thanks, Last question I think. So do I need to buy any extra fans for NZXT Source 210 Elite (Black)? Or are there any cheap fans which are silent but still good? Also I can't find out the noise of the stock Intel Xeon E3-1240V3 fan.

Okay cool thanks. I just found out my friend doesn't need mental real time v ray, just pure end result rendering so he doesn't really need a decent graphics card? So can you recommend a card that will just let you view stuff in 3ds max okay and be able to output a full hd resolution?

Thank you for all your help. I really tried to research if vray in 3ds max uses GPU or CPU but there is very little info and some say it's all about CPU. Seems there is something to do with Nvidia and Cuda cores.

is there actually any difference between the 4770k and 4770. Yeah I dont' want to mess around with overclocking as I have no previous experience with it and it's like a 250 quid chip ha. Plus gotta invest more into cooling. No cursing in the technical forums. mfenn General Hardware Moderator

Looking at getting Intel Core i7-4771. Seems ,ost reasonable in price before going to the 4900 or xeon realm.

Great thinking dude, checking the specs. Odd they don't mention GPU. But I'll research it more. I still dont really get why you need a GPU to render anyway but sounds encouraging, can maybe go for an i7 or xeon. What really is the difference between i7 and Xeon?

Not sure if this helps in any way but I'm really just going to be rendering to be images from 3ds max using vray as the engine...no animations really and no flash stuff etc.

Can I charge my y500 via USB battery as it has USB Charging port?

If I bought a mobile battery and a male to male usb cable, could I give my laptop some juice from the battery? Would be great travelling etc. Obviously not to play games, but just watch movies?
