rx480 8GB vs GTX 1060 6GB (Two specific models)

The 8GB version is only $43 or so more, not $100.......Also I imagine keeping it for at the very least 2 years, hopefully around 3-4, perhaps more. EDIT: Oh and there are a handful of games currently that do pass 4 GB, even if it is because of shadowcache. You don't think that in the next year...

I'm probably equally familiar with both, having had both brands throughout the ages. So far as better drivers go....I was under the impression that AMD usually has better driver support and for much longer than nvidia as well. Also if they are about the same speed, but the 480 comes with another...

Sager np7370 or np 8230? (W370ST or 151SM1)

I suppose my choice in laptops has more or less come down to these two. I can get the 17inch 7 pound 7370 for around $1,000 that means I could put in an SSD and buy an OS and it´d be in total around $1,200, whereas the np8230 costs around $1,200, so it´d be around $1,400 if I wanted to put...

No, don´t get me wrong, I appreciate it...it´s just that if I do go the mini itx or similar route it needs to be at least somewhat upgradable, and a fair amount cheaper than one of those laptops, with at the very least the same performance.

Those aren´t really upgradable are they... The laptop makes more sense in comparison to that, for $1,000 I´m still getting more than evn that $900 one.

SO I should probably pay the extra $200 for the np8230. Plus the downsize in the screen size is alright, I can always hook the laptop up to a monitor pretty easily right?

What about this laptop....it´s the sager np7370. It´s a 17inch, so it´s a bit bigger than the np8230, however it weighs a bit less. (Would still probably be much more portable than a mini itx I assume) Only difference really is that this one has the GTX 765m GPU and the 8230 has the GTX...
