Don't forget the SE drives continue to carry the 3 year warranty - an added bonus!
I have my drives reserved at the local circuit City, and will do PM when I pick up order.

Don't forget that the time is running out on cheap hard drives with 3 year warranties.
Crapusa is OOS for all the stores near me (SE MI). Microcenter reloaded during the week (both barrels). They had about 50 drives stacked on the floor earlier today :Q.
Off to OM to attempt PM & possible coupon deal.
To those that may be skeptical - notice that the description shows this being an OEM card. If this indeed true, then you should probably expect that the core/memory speeds will be lower than the 325/310 of the retail boxed product. But if this card is true, and it is capable of 75-80% of the...
I just returned from staples. Sound card is PSC704 - the 1st gen Seismic Edge card. Not a 5.1.
See this article for what changed.
I needed a 5.1 for my HTPC, so no card for me. There are 3 available at Walled Lake, MI store. Price is confirmed to be $17.50

Just got through having the wife order it for me.
CSR went away after giving the coupon code, but allowed us to use it. No scan required :D.

Just returned from Canton, MI OM with my LiteOn. It was still priced @ $129.99 on the computer, but they sold it to me for the sale price of $109.99.
Will buy another online using $25 off coupon & return after it arrives Tuesday. ;)
I picked my 4 50 packs last weekend from Novi, MI store. Ordered online late Sat night & they were waiting for me Sunday morning.
Thanks for the heads up this bunker.
I've purchased a total of 3 ECS K7S5A's & all have performed nicely.
Have used T'birds & Athlon XP's - SDRAM & DDR memory.
Exclusively used Windows 2000 for the OS.
BB had this deal a few weeks back for $14.99 when the two pack first came out.
I had put it in my BB.com shopping cart & decided to pick up at the local B&M last week.
BTW, both movies are great even though they're somewhat disturbing.

Let me clear this up
According to Marm:
<< You have to buy the DVD playback kit to play DVD so Micro$oft did not have to charge any more mone up
front, this pays the license fee to play DVD and keeps the cost low up front. >>
This statement is absolutely wrong!!!
From what I see, there...
It might be a discontinued printer, but a darn good one. I got mine during the Staples price match with Office Max for about $200 total in Mid-December :D. Great for printing out high quality scans/photos.

coop,
I have a Radeon 32 DDR. I never thought that it ran very hot, though I may be wrong. If anything, the Radeon, when combined with the rest of your system could stress your power supply to the point where your system might experience some stability issues. That said, I'm running a 1GHz...
The wife called to let me know that my order from CompGeeks arrived today.
I'll run it through some tests to see how it performs & report back.

I was lucky enough to get one on the first day of the special.
Thought I'd let everybody know I already received my rebate check for $30, which was about 4 weeks from when I sent it in. Now if Quantum would hurry up with my HDD rebate :disgust:

Same problem for me on a K7T Pro2, with a Vortex 2 based soundboard. I've noticed that IRQ11 is really popular, so I plan on starting off the new year with a freshly installed OS (Windows 2000 SP1) & methodical h/w installation.
I'll keep you all up to date
My local CompUSA had about 40 drives, plus suprisingly offered rainchecks to those that missed out. I woke up early (For a Sunday at least) & joined the other 25+ people in line and got mine ;)
Good luck to all the other Anandtecher's trying to get in on this deal :D
