voodoo 5500 in windows xp makes the monitor appear to be in safe mode.
This has only begun to happen as it was working fine.
When i boot up with Linux I do not have this problem at all.
Any one have any ideas on a resolution for this.

I spoke with HP about this and they informed me that I needed new drivers and would send me a new driver CD.
This is what I have been using and so no need for the patch as these new drivers are specifically for Win 2000.
I am using the original Serial cable so should be no problem there.

I'm running Windows 2000 pro on an Asus A7V using AMD 800mhz processor. Using VooDoo 5500

I have installed the updated HP software drivers from HP for the Scanjet 5200C.I then shutdown the system, connected the Serial cable and turned on the scanner and rebooted.
My problem is that the computer will not reboot, it goes through the motions all the way to a blue screen then shuts down...

I have an OEM version of Windows 2000 and never received a CD or boot disks.
Windows is installed on D drive which I think is a piece of C drive.
My question is how do I make a set of boot disks.
I've tried going Start/Run
d:\bootdisk\makeboot a:
But all I get is the following message...
I tried doing this but my computer still comes up with the name that I typed in when booting the system up for the very first time, any other Ideas?

I have 6 computers running win 2000 pro and I have them all networked. My problem is that I want to change the Computer name that I gave two of the machines on the initial start up and am unable to figure out how.
Anyone able to help me.
