Sadly no, that needs a wireless network to work. After more digging it's looking like I'll have to go with something like a Powerline adapter. But I was hoping for something that would do just what they do but doesn't need the wiring in the facility for it to work.
Powerline adapter I am...
I have a printer at work(not wireless sadly) that I need to move away from the ethernet port it's currently tethered to. I need to move it but cannot run ethernet cable to it nor can I use a router to setup a wireless network.
Looking for an adapter I can plug into the ethernet port in the...
Now I did not know that. Explains why my motherboard update page lists drivers/utilities/everything that are well over a year old in some instances.
Only time I've ever used anything on the discs provided for my devices is if I don't have internet access or if I'm testing something out. But...
I have a Crosshair V board and have AI Suite but never thought to use it. Just considered it bloatware really. However that kind of usability would be really nice indeed. Think I'm gonna be installing it here in about 5, 4, 3, 2....
Why not get the best of both worlds? Most motherboards now let you have multiple BIOS profiles. I have two profiles that I run on my 8350, an undervolted normal everyday usage profile. Then my overclocked profile I use for when I need(want) it. Granted I have to reboot my computer to change...
I had honestly thought initially that with all these Korean IPS displays driving the price down I would see more forum posts about them. Or just displays in general. But your right, it just isn't high enough traffic to warrant creating a forum for it.
I do like my second idea though of just...
I'm inclined to agree with this train of thought. Now if you were trying to RMA it because it couldn't overclock to whatever speed that would be one thing but I honestly think for the chip to fail at the meager speeds you were using something had to be actually wrong with the chip itself...
Than perhaps we modify the Video Cards and Graphics forum to include Displays in the title? That way that traffic now has a home and is being funneled to one spot so that when one is looking for opinions/info on displays they know where to look. Maybe change it to Video Cards and Displays?
How can we have a forum for Power Supplies yet not one for displays? We spend so much time viewing our monitors I just think it would be great to have a forum dedicated to them.
