AT's iPhone 6S review is up

I've used a ton of high-end phones, the user experience has reached a level where everything is pretty even. I've been suggesting s6/note5 to a ton of people because the VR headsets are an extremely unique peripheral that set them apart. If I had only one eye, I might check out iphones again...

Just got a Core-M Dell (Venue11pro)

I think this may be a terrible first showcase for many people trying Core M. I had the Dell Venue 11 pro with Core 4300Y, it was a disaster. Even after a raft of updates attempting to fix it and 10 months on the market. Issues with not waking up, freezes, BSOD, and even occasional wifi issues...

What's the difference between the snapdragon 801 and 805? Edit:difference found!

Very interesting. I believe the Note 2 I currently use has a separate modem but the battery life on it is stellar. The performance is a nice bonus over the usual S5. Are you sure its not QHD?

I will never understand people who do this. Why? If you can spend that same $6-700 and get a single card with none of these issues why would you go sli/xfire? Even if two lesser cards in sli show a slightly higher fps they will not be delivering as good of an experience. Just look at frame time...

Couldn't agree more. While I am very impressed by perf/watt the lack of really moving the top end is kinda sad. The most likely use for me of a 970 is a reasonable price/temp HTPC gaming card. I do a ton of TV gaming and it seems perfect for that. Otherwise, its the same slow progress we've seen...

Looks like $199 for the gear VR shell, and the number of games so far is pretty impressive. IMO the two best devs for DK1 are making launch titles- Titans of space and Darknet. Throw in Oculus Cinema and I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of content on launch day. I'm very excited for the VR...

David Kanter: AMD's ARM core will be 10% faster than their x86 one, ditch Bulldozer

I always thought this was because ARM has been used almost exclusively in mobile platforms so is designed for low power/freq then fabbed on processes meant for low Ghz and power saving. Kinda like how Intel is now using a special 14nm to fab the Core M line.
