How much of a power supply do I need?

Sweet, thanks Mfenn. Everything but the cooler master was delivered today. Debating whether I want to build the system with the stock fan and swap it out when the 212 plus gets in, or just wait till I have everything.

Wait, now I'm confused. On some parts of the Cooler master page it says it is compatible with FM2, and on others it doesn't list it. http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=2923 Anyone have any insight or experience using this heat sink on an FM2 socket?

I definitely am. I know it will be limited, and it most likely wont be able to handle some guys at a playable rate, but it will be fun to try and push it. It seems like this is a good cpu for overclocking first timers, and that it is more than capable in other tasks.

If I were to go with a uATX case, however, I would either get the Rosewill Line-M (refurbished for $32.99 at new egg w/ free shipping) or the Antec VSK 3000 ($29.99).

I like that case because it seems to have decent cable management, and it allows me to upgrade to a full size motherboard if I choose to in the future.

I think Im gonna go with the AMD FX 6300 because it has 6 cores. I always have tons of apps running at the same time, and getting a 4+ core intel really puts things out of my price range.

Oh man, its an old POS Asus laptop. An A53U K53U. It has an AMD C-50 Processor. The thing struggles with Chrome, and Skype chat. Not even video or voice, just IM. It was probably literally the cheapest computer they could find.

I have been. Most of them are backed up on a WD 500gb drive. I'm just worried about it getting the laptop getting dropped or stolen when we travel. So they are backed up, but I'm just looking for some type of justification to get a new computer.
