Question Advice on budget MB?

I ended up getting this board. They're now shipping with BIOS 3.4 and they've added a sticker to the box to say its "AMD RYZEN 3000 DESKTOP READY". Figured this could be relevant to someone in the future. Thanks again everyone for your help.

Question Advice on budget MB?

Something I don't like reading is the warning about some B450's needing a BIOS flash to work with R5 3600. is there any what to know for sure which do and don't need this? I won't have a separate CPU to do the flash with so it's not a problem I want to have to deal with.

Question Advice on budget MB?

I'm looking at the i3-9100F or the i5-9400F. When I look at the performance of comparably priced AMD chips the Intel's perform better. I'm open to anything though as long as the performance and cost line up comparably. I was a big AMD supporter back in the day.

Question i3-9100F question

I see this processor for a pretty good deal. From what I have read the F means it doesn't have/support onboard graphics. I always plan to use a separate video card so for my application will the performance be the exact same as the i3-9100? I'm looking at a savings of roughly $50 (CDN).

Router only lets me connect to the internet in DMZplus mode

I've reset the firewall to default and it changes everything on the network to maximum protection. The computer doesn't get assigned an address and it can no longer connect to the internet. I have to set it to DMZplus to get a connection.

How do I increase CPU usage for a specific process in Win 2K?

Thread jacker! J/K. ;) I would think when you get into a FSB that much out of spec, it's probably a luck of the draw kinda thing as to whether your board or his board will do it.

As I already said, I tried the enermax in my other computer and it won't run it. I was at the point where I was going to try setting it up on a piece of cardboard when I thought I'd try the other PSU and voila, it ran the 700. I'll pick up the new PSU tomorrow and post the results.

Basically I stripped it down to the bare minimum, CPU ,video card and Ram and tried to get it to run. Nothing. Like I said though, she'll run a Duron 700 with the other PSU, I'm just afraid to try to run that PSU with a faster chip. I'm thinking I'll go buy another Enermax 365 PSU tomorrow...

It's a "tsunami" made by L&C technology. It says +5 & +3.3V combined 160W. Total output is 300W max. I guess my other question is, what would be a good one to replace the enermax with?

Should I risk running the other PSU with the XP3000+ and not much else, to run the system temporarily? I bought the CPU used and I haven't really been able to test it because of this problem. The other PSU is actually a generic 300W, not 250W now that I look at it.
