I am wanting to try STALKER SHOC and was wondering what are the recommended MODS. I believe Complete is one and maybe weather atmosphere too. Any others that might be better??
2500K @ 4.3 Ghz here default voltage. I can go to 4.5 stock but see no need since I need stability more than a little more speed. It works great for the little gaming I do nowadays. OC it and you should be fine
I have a 49" WM UHD490 and I really like it. I would recommend a Freesync or Gsync 4k monitor because it is brutal on video cards when gaming. I have had mine for like 2 months. You can get a Crossover 404 that is pretty much the same as the Philips 40" and it costs like $500 when you get it...
ah yes I linked to it but I thought u had found a stand. like the others I posted a link to :) I am looking at the $76 one since you can pivot it to the left or right and height can be adjusted
It looks pretty good. I was using an Acer 23" IPS monitor with 5ms and it was goor for gaming so this lne should be a little better since it is faster. Unless you are really picky about the refresh and the ms
You will need a Video card with HDMI 2.0.

Pretty good monitor and no PWM. Great reviews for the monitor and has DP 1.2
I was a huge fan of UT2k4. I launched the game yesterday and no CF support :( Not surprised since it is a pre Alpha so I had to lower the resolution. Man do I suck now :)
Another good option is EVGA b stock. 4 gig on a 750 is a waste of money. It is not powerful to take advantage of the extra ram so stick to the 2 gb or go for a 970
I do move my head a little but not much. I use a standing desk so I tend to move the whole body and I did that before I had the 4k monitor. It took me 3-4 days to adjust but now I do not even notice if I have to move to see all corners :)
Also depends where u buy it. I have had really good experiences with Amazon but mostly bad ones from newegg (open box or refurbished). I second buying used on the forums here or ebay
I got the wasabi mango UHD490. It has free sync and looks really good. Only a dead or stuck pixel (it is a red one so only on a black background is noticeable and you really have to look to see it. Uniformity is really good and no back light bleeding
I have a 49" 4k monitor and I am 2 feet away from it. It took me like 3-4 days to get used to the size but now I would not go back to a lower resolution. I can lower the resolution to 1440 or 1080p if needed for gaming and it looks good.
I was able to play Farcry 3 at very high settings at 2560*1440 with a 290 Tri-x and Dying light demo at the highest settings and Hitman absolution at the highest settings too at 1440p. 2560*1080p is easier for the video card than 1440p so a 390 should be able to handle it fine plus u have the...
It is a toss. I have had really good ones and then also really bad ones. I would recommend searching the FS forum since there are some really good options. I know you said you want a 750Ti but here on the FS forum some one is selling a 260x for only $40 and that is a really good deal on a decent...
My 4k monitor looks better @ 1080p (text) than my plasma TV that is a 1080p. I am not too familiar but I think it has something to do with chroma 444 or something like that. But text looks sharper on my 4k monitor at 1080p. For work 4k is really good.
well at that distance you would probably need an 80" TV or bigger to be able to see the text fine. I sit 2 feet away of my 49" 4k monitor and text is perfect. Unless you can get closer to the TV then I would suggest to keep using 1080p
I usually buy what is the best price for the performance. So I have used a lot of Nvidia cards and a lot of AMD cards. Currently running AMD because for the performance they were the cheapest.
Another option could be a used 7850. Should perform around the same as a 260x more or less...
I would guess the answer would be because of work. I used to have 2 monitors one 23" and one 22" . I used both for work and used the 23" for gaming. I was thinking on getting another monitor for work but it had nothing to do with gaming.
It should be fine. Usually bios upgrades are for CPU compatibility and not for Video card compatibility. I have an Asus P8P67 Pro and I have running Radeon 290 CF and I had some issues setting the CF but it is working fine now but I have had no issues at all running a single card. As long as...
With older games a 290 can keep with 4k and lower settings. The thing is a lower resolution with high settings looks better. So 1440p with high settings looks better than 4k with low or medium settings and I assume it will be the same for 5760x1080. Something to think about. You need SLI or...
Probably the Acer XB270HU would be your best bet since you are used to the high refresh rate and it would be hard to go to a 4k 60 refresh rate. It is an ISP panel and it has great reviews. About being as accurate as the Dell most likely not but they are different markets. One is a work...
I have seen this one at BB in person and it did not look bad.
http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-1920x1080-DisplayPort-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0
It has decent reviews and price is in your range
I agree on getting a good monitor with either Freesync or Gsync. They make a difference. Another option would be to get a used 290 or 290x and sell it in a year or year and half and upgrade to any of the new video cards. You can get a 290 for less than $200 and it should handle 1440p fine for...
The official pages at OC for the UHD 420 and 490 have several people complaining about it. Mine is perfect in that aspect and no bleeding. My 27" had some bleeding not bad but it had some.
Problem is that I do not really see the aliasing even when I had my 1080p 23" monitor. I have never cared and will never care for it. I can see big differences with textures and so that is what I focus on.
I am not saying it does not make a difference since some people are really sensitive...
I am not fond of planet fitness but for some one starting I would say it is a cheap good gym to start with. They offer free training and have several perks and while you are starting it is a good choice. They have really limited section of free weights and most are machines I would still...
I guess it is really subjective and what you do with your monitor. I use mine 80% for work and then the rest for gaming. I had a 27" 1440p and I had to sell it because text was just too small for me. I just got a 49" 4k monitor and I think for me it is the perfect size for 4k. Gaming looks...
If u are in the USA nothing. I did not pay anything on the UHD490 and I did not pay anything when I got the X-Star 27" 1440 p monitor and both came from Korea and I bought both from the same seller greensum
Not at this time. However with 5x ebucks and a sale by Thanks giving you might be very close to $500
http://www.ebay.com/itm/WASABI-MANGO-UHD420-REAL-4K-SE-Grade-42-LG-AH-IPS-UHD-3840x2160-42-inch-Monitor-/111665146399?hash=item19ffc2ea1f
It is the cheapest at the moment.
They come pretty often it seems. I got mine with the 5x ebaybucks and then greensum refunded me 52 because he was out of perfect pixel (what I had bought) so at the end I got it for $700 wich I think is pretty good for a 49". Also FreeSync is really nice and I would recommend it for a 4k...
U might want to look at the Wasabi Mango UHD420 or the Crossover 434 since both have FreeSync and it is really nice with 4k. The 390 you have will not cut it at 4k.
This is a stand that I will get eventually for my Monitor...
If your case says it can take 318 and the Card is only 308 then it should be fine. I have a Sapphire 290 Tri-x and it barely fit my case but it fit by like 3 mm but it is fine :)
