anyone know what happens to an RC install that was activated with a valid key? (ultimate in this case). I still get the pop-up, but wondering if the valid license makes it okay on 3/1...
Even the Omnia can be sped up using a custom ROM...the Omnia 2 is rumored to come out on 8/23. TP2 is out on t-mobile already, so you can check that out to see if it'll be any better (seems like it)
Hi everyone, so I'm trying to replace the stock heatsink/fan on a matrox low-profile qid video card, which is 50mmX50mmX10mm because it is super loud. I'm wondering if anyone knew of a good replacement that would also be able to use the tiny power connector on the card itself (as opposed to a...
if you wanted to stick with ATI, you could go for a passively cooled 2400/2600 series card - a number of them came out recently...they'd be comparable to the 8500/8600 nvidia cards overall for non-gaming tasks.
Thanks for the responses - I'm going to guess that the Tuniq will fit the Abit better since the tuniq is a bit wider than the ninja (131mm vs. 110mm). Has anyone tried the Tuniq on the Gigabyte board?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if there were any owners of either the Gigabyte DS3P or Abit IP35 Pro boards who had a tuniq tower set up on it.
I'm looking to buy one of those two exact boards (need 2 pci x16 slots, don't want to pay extra for asus deluxe), but just wanted to make sure that a...
I read somewhere that Office 2007 - well more specifically Excel 2007 - has multi-threaded formula calcs and will take advantage of multiple cores. Anyone seem this in action in a quad core by any chance?
Hi everyone, so I'm looking to do a new build with a Q6600 + a P35 board, but was wondering which board(s) would work best to use two video cards in (both pci-x if possible). I was hoping to hook up 3 LCD's + 1 Plasma, so ideally I would use a 8600GTS or ATI 24/2600 to drive one LCD and one...
i've shipped with dependable auto shippers (DAS) from san diego to philly then back...it cost a little under $1000 each way, took about 3 days each time. (they come pick it up and drop it off wherever) i'd definitely recommend them. they don't let you put that much in your car though...just...
if you're going to put your money in two or three stocks, make sure you put a stop loss order in (an order that automaticall executes when you lose x% of its value - you determine x). just because a company or its stock is solid right now doesn't mean that it can't go down a lot.
have you...
we have the santa fe and can't really complain at all...it's pretty well built and is decently roomy. (space is all relative though...depends on what you're comparing it to)
the warranty cost is most likely not set in stone...the salesperson may be willing to cut you some slack on it since he/she gets the most commission out of warranty sales. and getting everything down in writing + charging it to a good warranty-extending credit card (i.e. amex) would probably be...
i've lived in both philly and southern california (san diego) and must say that philly summers are by far worse...that humidity makes it feel like it's 30 degrees warmer than it actually is. it gets hot here during the summer too, but at least it's dry and bearable.
use freetrade...anything else and the commissions will kill you.
example, let's say you do 3 round-trip day trades per day @ ameritrade (10.99 / trade)
that's 6 trades (3 buy, 3 sell orders) X 10.99 = $66/day * 20 = $1320 per month in commission expenses
i hope that gets the point across that...
while there is no blanket answer that applies to all, i don't see how it's good to expect to be an average student...that just sets oneself up for mediocrity. i'd say go for the better school and strive to get the best education you can while trying your best. there's no rule that says that...
the purchase price is generally the fair market value of the acquired company's assets
goodwill is the difference between the acquired company's book value and the purchase price
freetrade is great...it's no frills but you can subscribe to various ameritrade services for $10-$20/month. (level II quotes, command center (which is the ameritrade GUI), news services, etc. even without the services it's great if you want to just make a couple trades a month.
One thing...
go to craigslist new york - for sale - furniture, and search for "van" or "movers"...there's a TON of light moving services in NY...dunno which ones are good and which ones aren't, but you should be able to tell from the postings.

the thing is, the northeast and southeast markets are very different. verizon and tmobile/cingular (used to be voicestream) are great in the northeast, but now with Cingular rolling out their own network and the termination of the NYC area agreement may result in big changes in reception. I...
at the same time, you don't necessarily get what you pay for if you seek investment advice from a company...they're not always the brightest of the bunch, and plus their motivation is generally to extract fees from you, not necessarily to give the bestfinancial advice (which would be to minimize...
just go with an index fund or ETF...any incremental returns that a sector / market-cap fund will give will be eaten away by expenses...expenses are the main reason that mutual funds on average don't outperform the market.
i've used FTD several times each with great success, but maybe that's more an indication of the local florist where the flowers are delivered rather than FTD
you'll be spoiled by the weather and the people...oh and you'll get a lot more apartment for the money. the downtown area is very...subdued but still quite nice
<- from san diego, moving to ny in a few months, still bitter :P
www.ftd.com
you can probably get a rush order in if you need flowers delivered...a bit pricey but it's basically ordering from the florist closest to where you want the flowers...so they're always in good shape
if it makes you feel any better, consider that a 4-year old building studio in new york the size of your living room goes for double your rent...
i'm not bitter about new york rents...i swear! :P
take advantage of whatever 401K / IRA plans you can first, then invest the rest in some sort of fund. i'd be wary about a growth and income fund for the sole reason that interest rates will most likely be going up in the near future, which will mean that most fixed-income (bond) related funds...
given that it's for high school (i.e. your weight/height will most likely change afterwards), and given that it's just for pictures, just pick up a blazer from somewhere for cheap. invest in a good suit when you need it 3-4 years later. 3-button, solid color or light pinstripe will last longer...
$100 per month ends up being 1% per month or about 13% a year (compounded), which is pretty tough to achieve unless you're willing to take on risk, i.e. invest it in the stock market. how much interest are you paying on your debt? If it's more than 6-7%, you're probably better off paying off...
