My first deal post... Fuji CDRs for $19.99

Went to Staples this evening. Paid about $21 (including tax) for 48 "Pengi" or some brand like that with a free 48 disc CD wallet. Additionally, there's a $15 rebate for it which I hope they'll honor. Unfortunately, they're only 650megs and rated only 12x. DOH! Should have looked closer...

Nothing can beat my IBM Model M "clicky" keyboard anyway. I hate using anything else. Still, I wouldn't turn down free stuff (if they actually sent them) - I don't know what I'd do with it, though. Scrape off all the lettering so I could learn to truly touch-type?

!!! Hot Deal !!! Sega Dreamcast Console only $59 !!!

I heard only the "old" Dreamcasts could do emulation because Sega modified the "new" Dreamcasts to only read their proprietary disk and NOT CD-Rs. Is there any truth to this? I would totally buy a Dreamcast if it read CD-R/RWs.

I've never seen it happen live, but I have seen clips where the suspect made a clean getaway. One guy made it all the way to Mexico. Oh, and them Duke boys ususally got away....

Good DVDs: "Fight Club" - lots of extras - multiple commentary tracks - very impressive whether you like the movie itself or not. "Ghostbusters" - the commentary track again is great; kind of like an affectionate MST3K ("books on wires, ladies and gentlemen")...

I heard that rubbing/polishing toothpaste over the scratched surface can be a quick fix. I have NOT tried this and I DON'T know if this really works, but, "eh, it's a rental."
