Yeah, I bought Logitech's Optical Mouse for $22 and I love it. It's only got two buttons and a wheel though, but the touch and precision is perfect (true of any optical ;)). The model name is Logitech's Wheel Mouse.
Well Win2K definitely does not run games well. And Windows ME? I can safely say that ME sucks as*. I know from personal experience that Windows ME is definitely not worth installing. You can look at a whole bunch of threads of anandtechies telling you how bad Windows ME really performs. I think...
Is there a limit to how much you want to spend on speakers? Personally, I think if you spend about $100-150, you can find some decent speakers out there. I bought the Cambridge Soundworks Microworks speakers for $119 when they were on sale at hifi from $250.
Watch out guys, I don't think this is a good deal partly because you'll run through ink cartridges like that. I've never seen a printer use up that much ink. My sister has that printer, and it seems like I'm buying her new cartridges every week. Just a cautionary note before you buy it. :)
I've been a hardcore oc'er for awhile now, constantly upgrading and pushing my cpu's to their absolute limits. But, as of late, I've had no desire whatsoever to upgrade my current rig. Just running a nice 900MHz Athlon and just being happy, even in the midst of all these Gig-machines running...
There are metal brackets that you can use to stick the hard drive in a 5.25 bay slot. They attack to each side of the hard drive. They're usually included in the retail packages when you buy a new HD. Might be some other ways out there, this is the only one i know of.
I'm perfectly fine with my setup right now, and even browsing all these vendors selling PC2100 RAM, I'm just not that interested. Until something hits really big, I won't be upgrading my baby :D
I'm never going back to anything smaller or curved! A nice flat 19 inch monitor will be the best upgrade for sure. I have the Samsung 955DF myself, and I've been very happy with it. Good luck! :D
From what I've heard, mixing different speed RAM should be perfectly fine. The only problem is your system will be running at the slower speed RAM. So when you mix PC66 and PC133, the system will be running at 66, and not 133.
Yeah, please let me know what you think of the radeon. I really do not need the superior 3d that much persay, but 2d, vibrant colors, crisp black text is of utmost importance. Thanks!
I currently have the original geforce video card, and I would like to upgrade to a new video card with spectacular image quality both 2D and 3D for graphics design. I want the colors to be vibrant and bright, and the text to be crisp. If you have any suggestions, it'd be greatly appreciated...
I just put a decoder card in my system, and the visuals are now a LOT better!! Images and text are much more vibrant, I didn't know that decoder cards did this!
I'm having lots of trouble restarting/starting my computer. Whenever I turn my computer on, usually it takes 5-6 resets until it actually loads into windows. Is it a software problem? or does it have something to do with hardware? I appreciate any advice you can give me, cause this is really...
Hey all. I know this should be posted in the for sale/trade forum, but just wanted to see if any of you guys knew where I could get my hands on the new Dell Dimension cases. I know that there are no manufacturers, or online stores selling them. If any of you are willing to sell your dell case...
Is there anyway we could do the same thing, but for startup instead of shutdown? That would be fantastic if every morning I woke up and my computer was already on.
Oh man, with the numerous games coming out, you definitely should upgrade that graphics card of yours. Just buy a MX card and you'll be set to play most of the games. 1-2 years for a new system is a looooooong time to be waiting ~ i don't think i could wait that long. If money is tight, just...
The chimp's curious to know what you guys are using out there. I'm looking to upgrade my system with some cool peltier/water-cooling as soon as I can. Share your fat HSF combo and narly cooling here! :P
I have a question for you guys: I'm currently running my system with the original Geforce (SDR 32MB) and I was wondering, would monitor quality be better if let's say I upgrade to a GTS or Radeon? Thanks!
If you're looking to quiet those case fans of yours, you can always check out
www.pcpowercooling.com.
They have some silencer fans that aren't too expensive, the last time I checked.
With regards to your HSF, I was thinking the same thing myself cause quite frankly, I'm annoyed that I can...
Man, what I would give to have an aluminum case (i really like the black and silver one)! That day will come ... but as of now ... I'm still waiting =P.
