This does not have PC input. By hooking it up via S-video, you definitely are not getting 1024 res (even if that's what your computer is set at). S-video is 480i, so your video card scaled it to 480i.
is this a resource and memory hog, like norton? any chance of running this on machines with less than 512mb? That's why i like grisoft avg, very little resources used.

edtv vs hdtv....there are countless threads on avsforums, one of the best av forum out there.
bottom line is if you are sitting at least 6 ft from the screen, you probably cannot tell ed from hd when viewing hd material. go to the store and see for yourself.

why do you assume this? This just came out and there is little first hand experience of this unit. Is it just because the last Oppo was pretty decent? But this new one has a different chipset, which changes EVERYTHING. Lack of Faroudja may actually help the macroblocking issue though.

My take on Sirius vs. XM
Sirius definitely has the talk radio advantage with more star power.
XM is slightly better with music (especially underground or non-mainstream type stuff)
i believe all of these solar lights are the white LEDs. If you have normal incandescent or halogen landscaping lights which has a "yellow" hue, these can clash with them. The white leds has a very cold look about it...good for comtemporary look but not much else.
does not seem to have its own display, which most dedicated audio streamers do. Thus, you HAVE to turn on your TV to navigate to your music.
Wonder if it can be hacked to play videos (ie through software transcoding like ROKU).
