At my local best buy, Moto 360 2015 is out on display, Huawei watch is not (stock is very limited as well, I got the last one). I'd imagine the Gear S2 will be out on display with the rest of Samsung products.

New Moto devices announced 7/28/15

Moto G 2015 have a front firing speaker, it's not stereo. The camera module is lifted from the Nexus 6 with the same f2 lens, but it doesn't have OIS or 4K recording. I'd wager it's at least as good as the Moto X.

Recommend me a fancy tablet to replace Asus EP121.

Most Windows tablet now days, with exception to smaller 8 inch models, comes with a keyboard dock. If you're still looking, some alternatives: HP Envy x2. $699. 13.3 in, Core M, 8GB/256GB, no SD card reader, a little heavy at 2.8 pounds for the tablet itself, and almost 4 pound with keyboard...

Recommend me a fancy tablet to replace Asus EP121.

Dell latitude 13 7000 2-1. Starts at $1200, a bit above your budget. Core M, SD card reader, mini displayport. Includes the keyboard dock with 2 USB connector on the back. I believe HP has a similar product as well, maybe a tad smaller.

I spend two days in Vancouver and Richmond this January on T-mobile. Roaming was fast enough that I didn't notice anything out of place compared to Seattle or SF. Definitely faster than 2G, at least HSPA+ speed, most certainly could've been LTE. Oh, and I was using the One M8.

If the kid wants a iPhone 6, then iPhone 6 it is. If you give him something else, however pure your intention may be, he'll (likely) resent you for it. Might want to get him a case with it as well. 10 years old are not known for being careful.

You can only use OneNote and Office with OneDrive, Microsoft likes you to stay their ecosystem, and they don't give you much option otherwise. You can use Google Drive and/or Dropbox, but I'm afraid it won't be a seamless experience. Both actually. I really like the design of the Surface 3...

Please keep us posted. Surface Pro 3 is $150 off on the i5/8GB/256GB model and up. Now I'm really tempted to return the Surface 3 and trade up. Argh, I really want to pull the trigger, but I'm scared I'll be over the moon with it for two months, then gets the shiny new SP4 dropped on my face.

That's a surprise. I would've guess at least twice that. Maybe it'll get better in a week or two? I know my phone's battery life gets better after the first few days. I don't believe so. SP3 has instantgo, so it only has the balanced power plan.

By streaming, do you mean watching a video on a website, something like netflix? Or do you mean streaming a video from a website to something like chromecast, microsoft's wireless display adapter, or something along the lines?

I think clicking purple button on the pen to open onenote only works with the surface pro 3. I can't get it to work on my surface 3, and there's no option in onenote to enable it either. Is it just me?

Yoga 3 pro is a bit over budget, but it does have a high resolution screen (3200x1800). It should be noted as a core M product. Spectre x360 only has a full HD screen (QHD is more expensive), but the rest of the package is quite nice. Fits in your budget, battery life is better than the yoga...

TPU: AMD skipping 20nm, going straight to 14nm

TSMC is planning on 16nm finfet production in Q3 this year. Then 10nm in 2016, then 7nm in 2017. Whether they can stick to the schedule is doubtful.

I believe that makes me delusional as well. I worry though, than 390 will be available first, and 390x launching later/paper launch. According to whispers on chiphell, AMD was caught off guard of Titan X's glorious 12 GB, and would need some time to work on the 8GB version of 390x.

Yes, it's only 180 lines of pixel on the vertical direction, but when you account for the total amount of pixel, PS4 is pushing 44% more pixel than the Xbone. 1920x1080=2073600 pixels 1600x900=1440000 pixels 2073600/1440000=1.44 1.44-1=.44 .44x100=44% It's a substantial difference...

RED unveils 8K "Weapon" camera

Actually, it's four times 4K. 4K refers to the horizontal resolution of 4096x2160, not to be confused with UHD-1 (3840x2160), which happens to be exactly four times the resolution of 1080p. Side note, stills pulled from 8K footage would be 35 megapixels per piece. Yowza.
