    I was talking about the cost of the wood for the speaker ( I was a awre that it is MDF). I was saying that the center speaker will be so big i will have to make somthing out of wood to go around the center to mount the TV on. I will also need a speaker cover of some sort for the wife factor

    I am highly considering DIY. The one and only thing holding back at this point it that the center channel will be huge from what I can tell. I could maybe make a cabinet around that would fit around the speaker bu then the cost would go up some more. wood isn't as cheap as it use to be.

    I got a Denon E-300 from amazon they had a good sale going on for it. I am not afraid to try DIY speakers but i have no clue as to what to buy. If it dosn't save you much in making your own speakers then I am not sure I want to try it though

    I don't have to spend 1500 lol less is preferred. I don't listen to music much, My wife dose some times. If i could get a nice fronts and center and sub for less than 1500 that will be good enough for that size of room that would be great.

    It is a Sony AVr 165 watts per channel. I don't remember the model but it is one of the newer ones folks wear all talking about a several months ago in the avs forum. I hope that helps.

    I have a set of the pioneer speakers i like them the dialoge is good but they dont seem to a good range on the front towers they kinda seems to miss out on some of the sound. That being said aybe it would be better to use the centers for fronts also,but cant say.

    Just a update I have added a 280 raid and also got two of these Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilentPro PK-3 140mm. and a fan contrler also. Still waiting on my 240 rad they wear out of stock it seems when I ordered. Dosn't matter much I wont have the time to put it together for a couple of weeks.
