how can this be a bottle neck, if the 760 was getting 300+ and the 1060 is only getting 180-300 on the same game, if it was a bottle neck it would only be getting slightly more than the 760 not a shit load less.
there is something wrong, try the old card again with the current drivers?
what...
on second thought ill just use back up software(I hate intslaling stuff I don't need to) it looks like it might not be that easy and I don't know the disadvantages of changing from basic to dynamic disk, if anyone would like to enlighten me?
ok SSD's are cheap enough now to upgrade my 120GB to a 525GB drive
I have never really used backups etc. in the past (just reinstalled windows at a cost of time). It seems fairly simple with third-party software or using windows to create a disk image & back up from a bootable usb or (or a...
the best workaround I have found is once you hit the wall with manual updates.
Is set it to automatic (download but manually install) and leave it to run overnight this seems to get the last lot of updates through.
it only makes it take a day longer than it should :'(
I have never had a problem with chkdsk and I have run it on hundreds on machines
a quick run in cmd prompt from windows for a start then the more intense operation listed above
my only regret is I haven't run it enough on some machines I have wasted time on a clearly failing HDD when I...
Yea I don't use much I go old school if I suspect something and download the stand alone Kaspersky antivirus removal tool and run a malware scanner.
Some antivirus solutions are worse than a virus.
and most don't block any real threats remember the windows xp system admin shutdown virus...
My last experience with windows 10 made me realise what a good choice it was to uninstall it on my wife's laptop.
The neighbour had a cheap windows 10 laptop, resume is very fast but full reboot is nothing to write home about the same speed as 7 IMHO.
Now her antivirus had craped out and...
I believe this is true it happened with windows XP and now its happening with windows 7.
I have had the same issue with two laptops one in December and one this week

to study the AS5 break in did you turn off the comuter and allow it to cool to room temp
" This break-in will occur during the normal use of the computer as long as the computer is turned off from time to time and the interface is allowed to cool to room temperature. Once the break-in is...
it could be the sata cable i had the same issue with a HDD disapering at random and having to replug it to get it back
(check for kinks and or hard right angles)
got a new sata3 cable and the problem disapered
I gather the max temp is 78 C
I ask this question as i havent been with amd in awhile and have put one of these in a laptop
replacing a 15w TDP cpu

and havent looked back no errors etc no weired problems in event viewer, no BSOD no crashes...
this product is shit
a cheap non powered extended works alot better
it required driver software
suffers from spikes of lag and interferance when using a keyboard or mouse
it doesnt take a 4 port hub either
my 5$ self powered etxender works 100s of times better, no drivers required, no lag
Have you tried a new montior cable or a different monitor
it does sound like the mobo but you want to try everything first
also try a new keyboard or mouse
and like above a different PCI-e slot
does you mobo has an interal speaker header plug a speaker in. and see what post code u get
from your post im not 100% sure what have you tried
does you computer complete the POST is there a beep code
have you tried a bare bones boot (no usb plugged in, no cdrom, just the basics no HDD even(to see if it posts and dispalys on monitor), 1 stick of ram (try each one as well by them...
Another option i have to fix my keyboards woes is to upgrade my usb to cat extender
now my current one doesnt work with a four port hub it constantly drops every 10s-3mins
my current one is a non powered extender its cheap and generic but works flawlessly with a single bluetooth adapter...

I have a logitech mx1000 blutooth mouse, a couple of years ago my keyboard suffered wife agro induced death
so i got a cheap no name full size bluetooth keybaord to replace it, this worked fine with the mx1000 mouse and i was happy.

I have a had a system display behavour similar to that i could never nail it down.
worked fine for years only behaved odd on boot if the power had been fully discharged
i.e truned on while unpluged to drain stored energy, or switched off at the wall for a long period of time
its not getting stuck in sleep and tricking yout that it is off?
when it doesnt work what happens if you unplug it from the wall, turn it on with it unpluged to discharge the stored energy(nay leds or fans should momentarly become live(partial spin, light up then discharge), wait a few seconds...
Im using a NH-C14 due to height restrictions
4.4GHz prime 95 stable
custome high noise high airflow fan on the top 120mm
and the 140mm fan it shiped wiht on the bottom
The stock hsf is garbage and if the case has bad airflow (or even if it doesnt) it can get quite hot when it turbos, add a few months and some dust and all bets are off
now if you better read up and oc that chip properly.
if you dont il swap you with my 4770k and give you my 4.4GHz 24hour prime 95 stable settings
better keep the windows & doors locked or you might come home one day and find you chip is gone from your mobo and replaced with a 386
