I would get a single EVGA GTX 780 classified, they are $550 and are easily one of the best cards for overclocking. You'll get well over 100fps with reasonable settings on any game you can pick. Just because you don't max out Crysis 3 doesn't mean you need an SLI setup. 1080p is easy for these...

With a reasonable graphics card @ 1080p you should be able to get over 100fps in all but the most demanding games at max settings (aka, Crysis). Everything else will run at max settings easily, and honestly on AAA titles like Crysis that are meant to be eye candy in single player...having 120hz...

This is just plain false. Heat generated is related to how much power is used (the more power used the more heat is generated), but there is no correlation to how much heat the card generates. The chips are different die sizes, have different internals (and heat spreaders) and different cooling...
