That's where the prob is, 2 refs to OS (one in a non-existent partition). But I'm having a prob editing boot.ini. Msconfig opens the config utility but I can't edit from there (unless I'm missing something) and I can't locate boot.ini to edit it with a text editor.

A64 OCs (Air) Poll

2650 on air w/stock cooler. Reasonable temps and nearly silent. Week 47 3200+ 90nm. Will run limited benches at 2700, but not fully stable. Stable at 2650 since early January.

15 MbPS Internet in My House???

Verizon NY claims 15MbPS for their new system - fiber at the pole, some type of battery backup modem or interface in the house, NOT DSL!!! Anybody trying this yet - it's the same price as cable modem (3MbPS downstream here)?

Oc'ing 3200's with value ram

BW, That's 212.5 MHz, right? Seems like this ram is capable of 230 at stock, but the 5/6 divider is a bit of a bottleneck for hitting the sweet spot with a FSB over 250.

Latest 3200+ OC Results

Thanks for the info - the OCZ also looks good. I'm surprised at the good temps and low voltage needed to OC this on air w/stock HSF. My old TBirds, Palominos, and Barton 2500+ all needed a lot more VCore and put out a LOT more heat. I think the CPU heatspreader and the larger HS contact area...

Latest 3200+ OC Results

Generic 350 PSU (says 22A on 12v but I doubt it). I'm going for the Antec Neopower 480. 2.6 was no prob and completely stable. The trouble w/ this Mobo/BIOS (1003-005 and 006) right now seems to be a jump from 1.46v or so to 1.59v when I change the BIOS CPU voltage from 1.5625v to 1.575v...

OCing 3200+ 90nm on Asus A8NSLI Dlx right now. Using Mushkin Basic Green 1 T, 2.5-3-3-7 @ 219MHz, 2.75v Getting 2.63 GHZ stock HSF with AS 5. Stable all benches and Prime. 1.456v to CPU (this Mobo/Bios has VCore setting issues). Max 45C@ CPU. 2.65@ 1.456v runs Sandra and all 3DMarks but fails...

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Memory Compatibility List (Unofficial)

Mushkin basic green is fine so far to 225 MHz, 2.5-3-3-7, 2.75 v, 2x512 Meg dual channel. That's set at 270x10, DDR333, HTT4x, 3200+ @1.5v.

Been running this MB for a week with generic PC2100 while waiting for my 3200 ram to arrive. Runs very well with either 256 Samsung or 512 Meg PNY 2100 (for dual channel). On the other hand, had a problem with the Samsung 3200 512 Meg stick that ran well in a Soyo Dragon Ultra.

More info - when I try to run the Direct 3D test in dxdiag, I get the problem too, If I set the color depth to 16 bit, everything works except the direct3d test.

What AMD mobo have ya recently bought?

Just built 6 with the Soyo Dragon+. With the latest BIOS and sound drivers off the net, solid, fast, and stable. Great sound and convenient with the NIC built-in. Seems to like both 98SE and XP.
