I'm seeing a lot of good results from overclocking the HD4830 cards, if you're into that. Performance near HD4850 look possible for most cards.

Raid 1 reliable mirroring?

Do you know when that will be released? I have mutiple machines around here and I was thinking of doing some upgrading/fresh install to XP, but maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea with Vista looming in the near future? Wonder how much that will cost?!?! With four machines in our house...

I don't doubt that uninstalling the Logitech software did this, but just for the record the keyboard is a MS Internet KB, not a Logitech. The only Logitech device was the mouse. I'll try these suggestions. Thank you for helping.

LOL!!! That's true - the purpose of having a page file is to save state to the hard disk when you've run out of RAM. Try turning off virtual memory.

I do a lot of .Net programming which, granted, really isn't all that taxing on a system but I could use it to "convince" myself to get an X2. After all, I can write it off on my business! Does anyone know if the dual core would be of any use in running/compiling visual studio projects?
