Eso has a price tag, a monthly sub, locks away Imperials and the choice to be in any alliance with any race behind a preorder paywall or behind a specific purchase. I predict this goes F2P in the first 6 months. I am currently playing the beta and it feels like a watered down skyrim, that has...
There is a review up on the site, check it out if you want. The game did not draw me in, in any way. Combat is tactical yes, but so clunky and slooooow. Exploration is limited, and the abilities tree has 95% "perks" that are worthless. I regret my purchase.
We played it, and reviewed it. It is a decent game, but it was the alpha build, so who knows what will it grow into.
The writing is funny and smart, maybe they pull it off.
What would be your favorite game in the following genres? It does not need to be new one and you can name only one!
RTS - ???
TBS - ???
SHOOTER - ???
ADVENTURE - ???
SIMULATION/MANAGEMENT - ???
mine are
RTS - Warcraft 3 ROC and TFT
TBS - Sins of a Solar Empire
Shooter - Crysis 1...
Let us not argue semantics. Doesn't matter what you really call it, or if its full nuclear or just plain old soldier warfare. WW is a war that includes most of the countries of the planet. A global conflict with clear sides. Not mini wars here and there, nor cyber wars.
And i do not really...
The whole point of this thread is not what you say it is. That is just silly.
Extermination was never mentioned. Having a world war, and having a nuclear war when EVERYONE dies is not equal.
Almost all animals have TERRITORIAL wars in some shape or form. I feel you hate the mankind, where i...
Upon closer inspection of my beliefs, i find that i believe the world needs a reset button of some sort. Whether it is war, or some other event that would steer us all towards unification. I seriously doubt that we can survive as a species if we are divided into these camps that you call countries.
What i notice is that our standard of living is going down steadily every year.
At some point things will have to break down.
Scary times might be coming, or maybe a great turnaround.
As the title says.
I am not promoting this view, just interested in opinions. Please state your reasons if you think either way.
I have a few friends that think we will enter one next year or 2015. Economics will take us there, like they always did. I don't really know.
What do you think?
The newest X is terrible in my opinion. A friend wanted to write a review, but could not force himself to play the game enough. Same goes for me. I really think they dropped the ball with the latest one, and it is a shame.
Some companies promote that games use more that 2 threads. Some people think that this is a myth. What i know is that i never see the activity on the cores on the multithreaded game in a way that they promote it. e.g. 4 threaded game, handled by 1 core which would suggest 2 threads. I dont know...
We had a chance to play through the first chapters of the Moebius game by Jane Jensen. She was behind the Gabriel Knight Trilogy if anyone still remembers it. If you want to check it out, feel free.
In short, the game looks promising and is very smartly written. Should be released in January...
My thoughts almost to the last letter. Torment gets me in a state of mind that i do not appreciate. Since dragon age 2 i cant really hope much for inquisition, but i really want it to succeed. Origins was such a good game, i want to go back to the world without the gimmicky stuff.
It is not a guarantee that it will be an exclusive, but it sure is close to one. And if microsoft puts its tag on something i doubt it will get the green light to step away from the console, at least not at launch.
Hello people,
What would be the top indie games that you are looking out for?
They do not even have to be indie per se, just not major league heavy hitter company releases?
An example of a big game would be something like Mass Effect 4 and all that.
Maybe we should set the time table to...
I remember Van Helsing getting a lot better after 10 patches or so. Really loved the game, but i have not played arpg since torchlight 2 at that time and maybe that factored in. I loved the setting and the enemies. It takes balls to create a game with all those tropes and silly quest stories. It...
I hated how the story of Mass Effect resembled the story of kotor. Searching for the conduit, searching for the star forge.... and all the same tropes. And then people come and say MASS EFFECT had the best story ever ! xd
I have to admit it is a real frenzy here, everyone wants to play the old games even with a lot of new ones on the plate. Still cant get around to playing this god damn AC4 because everyone is playing the games from the thread.
This morning i had to watch an hour of RollerCoaster Tycoon haha...
Well, i wanted you to experience the soundtrack without giving it away. I cant really claim it is like the original, but it is really fitting.
Yes yes, in the dev video that is linked in the article you see how they progressed towards hex grid.
I reviewed the game couple days before its...
I think i have something broken inside my head, whenever i see these sales i have to participate. I bet this is what the people doing the sales are counting on :D
Thanks everyone for their opinions, i hope that we all can get something out of everyone's combined input. I know that i did.
Hope dies last, eh fellas?
Okay, played two games in a row, got crushed like i never played a strategy game. The game is terrific, oozes with atmosphere.
Edit: The review is up on the website if you care to check it out, and i hope ill see you in game.
Just an update guys, we have received a code for the game preview and download. We are in touch with the developers, and should have first hand experience in the days to come. The clients are being downloaded as i write this.
Cheers!
Good point. You can see this in the rest of our culture i suppose. People getting lead by hand on every thing imaginable. I remember reading reviews that took points off the score for having a steep learning curve. I know this is a personal thing, but overcoming a high curve is a reward in and...
