There is no physical delete in either case, but you are marking 100s of files as "deleted" (100s of writes) while a format (in camera, of course) just marks the whole filesystem as empty (very few writes).
No camera I know of formats the card in a way that overwrites the actual content, that...
I think I could live very comfortably with any Nikon and the 35mm f/1.8. The D3200 is a good choice for beginners, the D7000 or D7100 have much better AF and controls.
The image is quite pleasant, I like the light and the kids expression.
Your editing seems to have introduced very weird artifacts: take a close look at the eyes and teeth.
Immediate improvements would be to exclude the person on the right from the frame and perhaps stop down a bit more...
You got me there Belegost! Good memory from my Christmas posts or just the feeling the image conveys?
Mike: I really like the rapeseed picture. The other one does not work at all for me though.
Todays contribution:
Emergence / She thinks view larger.
Really beautiful scene. It looks postprocessed with some kind of "vanilla" preset, but it works quite nicely. The longish exposure time seems like the perfect blend of motion and serenity.
Posting some "stars" (not really stars, no offense to the true stargazers).
stars flying by view larger.
Everything you mentioned are quite challenging situations, even for an advanced camera.
Anyway, the older, larger camera most certainly has the better lens and larger sensor. 8 MP + good lens can get you decent size prints.
What's stopping you from testing the two options yourself?
Thanks a lot Belegost :) I like the frost you photographed. I never had the chance to see such beauty in real life, seems like all the frost I ever see is already clumped together one way or another.
For today I present something Americans might relate to, since this kind of art was on the...
The first one is superb. I love the composition, especially the distribution of light and dark areas.
Adding abstract nature: Water Visions view larger.
If he is cropping for screen, 10 MP should be good enough as well.
But sure, getting a D3200 for the newer sensor doesn't hurt, but it also does not make too much sense. He is sticking more MP behind low grade glass (except the macro).
Zooming is usually done with a good lens :)
You can crop more with more MP, but you also need a great lens to do that. The quality will suffer, since you also enlarge lens problems.
Look at the Sigma 50-500 and read a few reviews if you really meant to have more zoom.
Unless you can really point to anything you NEED to upgrade, I'd stick with the D3000. Yes, it's not perfect, but if you photograph at low ISO its a good camera and can give you gigantic prints as well.
If you buy for MP without a very good reason the advertising industry really got to you.
Danke, das war korrekt.
I can only imagine you did not remember the word for terrible :D
I photographed something that deeply impressed me, alas I did not have the time to get a "more beautiful" shot:
Crazy Berlin Sky view larger.
Thanks for the clarification. So this must be on pixel level, pretty sharp and as I said, impressive FOV and of course a great sky :)
Adding a weird scene:
Scene with Santa Claus view larger.
Very cool to be an inspiration, thanks for mentioning that. I can see what might be appealing about the shot, which I'd say is the single spot of light, heavy with possible meaning, and the road-like ground.
I'm going the botanic route for today's photo:
Chaotic Moss view larger.
In my opinion Pentax is much too late to this party. Everyone who wanted full frame has had and still has too many other, probably better (lens selection, ...) options.
Even if I had gone Pentax when I started, I would not consider their 35mm option now, because I'd be much too invested in crop...
HTML email in itself is a huge security risk. What you describe really mixes the worst of the worst with the worst.
So good luck in your future endeavors.
